the Vancouver winter olympics. I was against the olympics coming because we could ill afford it when schools are shutting down, people are homeless... drug addicts need treatment & we have a billion dollar yuppie party. ANYWAY... once we got the bid and had to spend $$ to prepare well, you kinda have to accept that there is no changing it. Its ok to protest... I have no problem with that, its the fact that they are destroying property and assulting people & we've heard many of them arent even from here. Its making a beautiful Country look real bad. Not impressed.

Jeeze, what's wrong with the French that everybody hates them? Are there any French people here?
Because the French didn't support the "War" on Terrorism. That's why you attempted to ban "French" fries and "French" toast. However, I've always wondered why the American government never demolished the Statue of Liberty - which was a gift from... the French! :D

Hey!!! French fries are not French, but BELGIAN!!! Don't ban them...

We have the Lion of Waterloo facing France. It symbolises the tought: 'Before you Frenchies even consider coming back to conquer us, remember the last time you tried...' :D

We have a good tradition it French toast. We call it 'lost bread'. But that doesn't mean we invented it.

French fries however are 100% Belgian. We have some of the best things:

- Belgian choclate is the best in the world
- Belgian beer is the best in the world
- Belgian 'French fries' are the originals and the best!

We did made a big mistake however with the Brussels sprouts... :D:D

meh i have never liked poutine - at least not real french poutine. two of my friends are from victoriaville, quebec - they say that's where poutine originated from and treated me to "real" poutine. never liked it. thought it was weird and a bit gross tbh.

hate to say this but there are more "fun" things in the usa lol but then again... i live up here. you live down there so to you, canada is "fun" and usa is boring? lol

opening ceremonies was alright. i'm not an olympic/watch sports on tv or pay $500 for ticket fan. actually, i'm not even a crowds person.
