Ok I want to start a topic lol anyways I want to know everyone opinion about my job I am a bartender lol XD anyways i want to know if you guys think if that is wrong or if it ok i mean i have never seen anyone get more than buzzed at my bar cause i dont serve to people i think are about to get drunk but still i had a few people question my religious status because of my job does anyone here think i cant be a full christian since im a bartender please share XD

Yes I think you can bea full-christian and still be a bartender. I know several christians that work in bars and such places. IN fact it has the potential of being a great place to work, I dont know what you can say when your on the job, but if people do wonder about your faith you can say yes im a christian, it may surprise people, but your job does not determine who you are, and its not a sin to serve people alchol so you shouldnt be looked down on.

NO, why can't you be a christian and be a bartender, everything in moderation and didn't God bless everything, just not drunkenness
you're not always at fault for someone's else's addiction

ok thanks XD and besides ive never ever served a drink to someone i believed was drunk they often send there friends that i dont know off but i myself never partook in giving them that last drink that got them beyond the point of tipsy so thank you now i can proudly defend myself as a christian bartender XD

You can be 18 & work at a bar, but you have to have a liquor license if your 18 & 19.
Im from texas & thats what you need a liquor license to work at a bar or place were they serve liquor.

To answer your question, it has its bad & good things of being a bartender.
Since most of them go there depressed trying to drink you can talk to them about their problems & start to tell them about God =)
Perhaps thats a reason you got hired there so you can tell them that no matter how hard life is God can help them through it =)

When your at the bar not matter what your doing, your still exposing yourself. personally i dont think its the best job to get as a christain :) but if your trying to help restrain people i think thats awsome, because a normal bartender could really care less. I'm only 15 so im not as educated as other would be :) im just putting in my input.

lol see thats what i was thinking too but its the only real job i can get where i can support myself and stay in school

Make good use of your time there =)
Talk to them & tell them about God =D
But first pray to God for the wisdom to be able to be able to give them good advice about getting closer to God, & advice.

It might be hard at times, but with God he can help you help them =)
If they start listening to you dont forget to tell them they can start by praying & asking for forgiveness for their sins, talking to God, & even reading a sentence in the bible =)

We are the salt of the earth :)
God doesn't want us to cut ourselves off from society, we're to be scattered in different places to talk the gospel to people. Saying that, yes you may see and hear certain things which could possibly decencitse you in certain ways, but just ask God to guard your heart and pray you won't be made supseptible to things. It's not a great job, but hopefully you can use that position to talk to people, and even if you don't talk to people, other's around you may notice something different about you and want to know what you have that they don't.
By following christ you'll be displaying the fruits of the spirit, while your setting may be the opposite lol. But you'll stand out, it is good for there to be light in the dark ;) !!

God can use people in any position.
I heard of this lady who would actually go into lapdancing clubs and bring people to christ (she's probably been around that scenario to be able to reach people in that way), but yea.

Keep asking God for guidance, and when you move on you'll find you'll be able to talk and minister to a greater range of people due to your bar experience! :)

Oh, I just remembered something I saw on a show once...a Christian stripper...she didn't think she was sinning because all she was doing was showing what God had given her (her body) to others...

She wasn't very bright.

I think you can be a christian and work at a bar.

I just don't know why a christian would want to work at a bar, surrounded by drunkeness every day.

Yes there is sin in every workplace, even libraries and candy stores, but ask yourself, are you facilitating people's desire to get drunk? Only you can answer this. Would you work in a casino? A brothel? A firing squad?

Whatever your thoughts are about this, read Colossians 3:23.
