Most dreams come from our sub-conscious mind, and they may have "meaning" in the sense that they pertain to something that we've been thinking about, but they aren't from God, just from our brains.
However, God does sometimes give us meaningful dreams, even today. The ones that have meaning tend to rattle you a bit, and stay on your mind pretty clearly for quite some time. If you have had a dream like that, then you can ask God to show you what it means, or perhaps He will lead you to someone who can tell you.
You do need to be careful, though, because some people just make things up, without asking God what the dream meant. If a dream comes from God, then the interpretation has to come from Him, as well. If someone gives you an interpretation, and you commit it to prayer, but don't feel peaceful about it within a day or so, then they probably weren't speaking from God. Be open, but be careful, as well. -Nichole

I agree with Snackersmom. I think we have to examinate case for case. I do believe that God inspires dreams nowdays. Also because Bible says that God was,is and will always be the same. But many of our dreams can be just fruit of our uncounscious part, so don't take everything as God inspired Specially if you dream something you would like eheh I say this because when we dream something we like we easily can think that it was God to inspire that dream because it's his plan to make it happen ehm.. eheh but I'm sure God will confirm any dream which really came from him
