Okay that sort of mindset has always annoyed me to no end because it's not always true. Even the Bible suggests in some verses that you can walk away from being saved or you can lose your salvation, and it wasn't because you were never "of Him," it's because you decided that this wasn't the life you wanted. I'm glad that you've never had a moment where you've seriously questioned your faith, but guess what, it doesn't work that way for everyone. Even Job had a moment of doubt (and if anyone earned it he certainly did). Some people for whatever reason never question why they believe what they believe or if they made the right choice, they just assume they have and follow it almost blindly. My mom is one of these people. But for some of us life becomes too much or sometimes too much of Christianity just doesn't add up and it gets hard to follow something that in your mind does not make sense. It's better for her to follow beliefs that she herself has come to believe is true through experience, not just follow blind faith.

If she doesn't feel heavily convicted for what she is doing then she did not bear the fruit of the Spirit. And it's not about rules and regulations, being with Christ actually gives you freedom. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Be wise choosing your path.

And it's also a shame how many people support her decision in this forum, that's like agreeing to spit on Jesus together.

I'm not disagreeing with you Gabriel, I agree with everything you just said. But how is a comment like that going to help VikkiKate realize that?

It's all about choice.... And with The Devil distracting VikkiKate she will just agree with The Devil and say F God it's better off without him.

The point of my question was to make her talk things out to realize that. All be it she's not online at the moment so can't talk haha.

I try to do dat, but it doesn't last more than a couple of days. Actually, in these days, i feel FREE!. Like no more rules and all that.

But two things can always convince me

1) Does God really need me?.God in his supreme being doesn't need me. I mean i'm the one who needs him, it is bcoz of his mercy that he decides to give me a chance to be called his Child anywayz.

2) Who ends up loosing Me or God?. Well the answer is so obvious, Me!... If i decide to leave God, trust me, there are thousands of people who want to serve him. And if it becomes so bad, He'll just raise stones to serve him. While i waste my life and end up in HELL!

So it's the person who decides not to serve God that ends up been a Fool! :rolleyes:

I'm not making this choice for attention and i'm doing what i think is right. All i've seen from christianity is bible verses and arguments. Not even christians understand the bible fully. ALL RELIGION leads to war or disagreements and i'm sick of being force fed crap from people who believe in stuff that i feel is outdated in this time (2011). I'm annoyed that people automatically assume i'm going to go on a bender and get wasted because i'm not. I referred to the alcohol thing because i never use to drink but now i might on social occasions.
Christianity to me is giving false hope to people that need something more in their lives and i fully understand faith can give you purpose. To me going to church and reading the bible is a form of brain washing. Being brought up from a young age to believe in God is the same as brain washing in my opinion. So much killing has been done in the name of religion (including christianity) and to me that is wrong.
I want to bring my daughter up in an environment were she can make up her own mind - in her own time about faith and religion. I have morals and don't need to be a christian to have strong ones. My daughter knows right from wrong (as do i) and i'm sure we will do fine without all religion in our lives.

I just wanted to let you all know what my opinions were because i believe them to be right - if you don't agree that is fine x

Sadly, you never knew God, you only knew religion. But if your heart is sincere, God can reveal Himself to you.

See what I mean everyone? She never knew Him. Christianity is no religion at all, nor is it about rules or regulations, nor about just bible verses and arguments. It's about having a relationship with the Creator of the universe. And if you think it is outdated read ezekiel 36,37, and 38.

But there is a Creator. You didn't come from billions of billions of accidents. And mass energy is proven by science to perish. When all matter came about to exist in space it had to have a cause, and up until now the only one explanation that truly fits is that GOD is the one who created the universe.

You will face Him. And it could happen at any time, because our death is imminent, meaning it can happen at any time. You choose what kingdom to serve. The kingdom of darkness and death, or the kingdom of life and light.

John 3:18-21
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.

I am not trying to prove myself right. Jesus did that for me on the cross. He gave me His word to share in entirety and in truth. I share it for His kingdom. No so I will be known as Mr. Right.

If you truly knew who God is, you wouldn't want this for yourself and couldn't ever think to have a better life without him. I'm going to pray for you. God never let's us down. That feeling comes from evil, and giving in to the things of the world. There are rules in life with or without God. You can't escape it...and yes if you really didn't care I don't think you would announce it in a thread to the whole site. I will pray for you.

I don't get you, you're going to start drinking, having sex and all that, and you claim to have Morals?. I mean forget Christianity, what descent person with morals will do that?

Christianity is giving false hope to people, And what about the people who have really benefited from Christianity, or people who have experienced the works of God?. How do u explain dat?. False Hope?

Going to church is brainwashing?. Really doesn't make sense to me!. If u were really brainwahsed, i'm not sure you'd think of leaving Christianity

You're just too carried away with the things you want to do in dis world, You want the freedom of this world which is just Bondage In Disguise!. You want your own life, you're like the Prodigal Son in the bible.
