How is killing an unborn baby by abortion an act of kindness to it. Also could someone explain to me how so many people who can call themselves Christian, but see nothing wrong with abortion?

The later-term abortions that everybody gets up in arms about are only ever performed if they are absolutely medically necessary- as in, the mother and the child would both be very likely to die if the abortion was not performed. To kill the mother for the sake of possibly saving her baby is much more immoral than to kill her baby for a guarantee of her life.
Please don't misunderstand me when I say these things: Abortion is tragic, whether you are christian or not. it is the utmost physical manifestation of hell for the psyche of any sane individual experiencing it, and it should never be considered as a birth control method. But to outlaw it because we find it distasteful is to do a dis-service to all of humanity, and to make the assertion that it is always wrong is something that should never be allowed to happen, and to say that it is simply 'evil' and to ban it is to do just that.
