I remember before my brother had been born, my parents didn't know if the baby was going to be a boy or a girl. I already had a sister and I always wanted a little brother. One day, I went by our sliding glass door and prayed and also said I want the baby to be a boy. Well a few months later, my parents tell me that the baby is going to be a boy. I knew then that God heard me and answered my prayer. Has anything like that happen to you?

Ohhhhh yeah. Recently I asked God to supernaturally help me in my chemistry exam for college (literally walked in the door without any knowlege of chemistry, never had a class in my life) and I took the exam knowing i messed up on at least half of it. Upset I said "Lord its in your hands" and a couple days later I got the test back. It was an 81 out of 100. I still have no idea how that happened. Ahhh the joy of trusting in a perfect God.

I was born again while working at a casino on the gold Coast of Australia and a lady I worked with asked me if i had found religion? I said i had found God. She was a workmate and not really to close to me but i felt that she thought id gone a little crazy. That night when i went home i went straight to my room and prayed to God "Lord show me something i can tell her that will let her know that im not crazy, and that u are real, and that i serve u, and will get her saved. Instantly i heard him say " She is going to fall pregnant soon." i knew without a doubt that God hadd spoken to me.
The next day i was at work and i was was on my way down to the staff cafe where she worked, and as i walked passed the toilets i freaked out and went in and prayed "Lord, i dont mean to test you but can u confirm that it was you who spoke to me, let her be the first person I see when i walk into the cafe!" This prayer was almost an impossibilty to happen by chance because as you walk through the back door to the kitchen you first see a steward at the dishwasher on your right then as u turn the corner there is usually another at the potwash area and a chef at the cookers and maybe one of the other two cafe workers that work there. But when i entered, the kitchen was empty and all of a sudden she came in through the doors from her servery and into the kitchen. I went straight up to her and told her what i had prayed and what God had said. She was stunned and said " What, wha what do you mean how did He say it??" and i told her that i had asked so that she would know that He was real and He just told me "She is going to fall pregnant soon" She thanked me and I went and sat in the Cafe. About 2 mins late she came up to me and said "thats really weird, ive been trying for months!" How awesome is God, that he knows the heart of that woman and cares for her enough to tell her something so beautiful, that she might know that her deepest heart cries are important to Him !! A very short time later she fell pregnant.

Lately I've been noticing its not hte answer I was necessarily looking for, but for me it has been far better. A recent example of him giving me what I need is peace, I was afraid of seeing my ex again after we broke up, God had one of my best friends in the class with me, than the class was eventually moved to online so I dont see him at all.

Many times I have prayed and many times he has answered. He knows what you need, and always provides. Sometimes he doesnt answer because its not time for what you want or need . His timing is always perfect and absolute.

GOD is so Good to us,

Let me tell you a short story, that probably should be in the Testimony section of this Chat Service, but since this post is here, I will place it here........And thank you JesusLovesMe, for starting this thread.......

I just went to see my Dad last night, he is 78 and, well, lets just say, he's a little frail.......We as a family had serious probelms due primarily to Alcohol abuse and addiction in my Parents lives......Much abuse, violence........ETC..... Anyway, many years ago when I got saved, my Dad never really liked this BORN AGAIN THING, simply because he was raised Roman Catholic and this is not in any way, a derogatory statement about Roman Catholicism at all.

Well last night I went to upstate New York where my Dad lives and spent about 3 hours with him at a club he is involved with called Exempt Firemans Association......He was a volunteer fireman for 30+ years......Long story short, we were watching the big screen TV, which had Tiger Woods on it and some story about his recent calamities in his own life.......Dad mentioned to me that he hadn't been able to play golf in over 2 1/2 years because he dislocated his shoulder during a fall about 3 years ago........... I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT HIS SHOULDER BEING DISLOCATED, ONLY THAT IT'S HURT.....
PRIOR TO LAST NIGHT......

He went to various doctors and medical professionals over those 3 years. One doctor called his assistant in to the treatment room to try to PULL my Dad's shoulder out and then back in again, to reset the dislocation........Didn't work.....
He also is a Veteran of Foreign Wars.........having fought in The Korean War, long ago...........Well the specialists at the VA Hospital said they could surgically attempt to fix this problem, but there was a 70 percent chance it would get worse not better.....Well needless to say, my Dad said no way...
So, he has been seriously in pain, and diminished in his capacities for 3 years.......I simply asked him If I could pray for him, and he gladly said yes......

I prayed and heat came all over his shoulder, then when I finished I said to him Dad lift your arm...........well it made a popping sound, and was completely healed...........he almost started to cry...........So, as you asked, JesusLovesMe, I asked GOD to heal my Dad's shoulder, and HE did.

Now he wants to know more............. (...to be continued )

Well you do realize that the baby had a 50/50 chance of being a boy? Did you think the baby was a girl until you prayed then god changed it?
Why will got not heal an amputee? Can anyone answer that?

lol! the jury's out on that one. :D but seriously I pray for a great many things in my daily life. Part of what makes God so great is not that he is so high above us he ignores us but that he is so powerful he can attend to our every need. Honestly, I pray for so many things I find it hard to keep track of them all and so would find it difficult to keep a record of answered and unanswered prayer.

I prayed for a cat once that had a debilitating and degenerating limp not caused by injury but by genetics (as far as I could observe). Before, it would just fall down from standing. We were thinking about putting it to sleep. But it healed so well without us doing anything that it was soon running about and jumping.

I prayed for my half-brother's dad to come back to him. Several months later he showed up out of the blue. We found out that he had been several states away and had hitch-hiked, gotten jobs, road bicycles and finally just walked over to where we lived. He went around the neighborhood, knocking on doors, asking where his son was (because we had moved since the last time he saw him). He could be annoying at times , but they were reunited and had a good time together.

I wasn't baptized yet and it was summer. I got into a few-day discussion with a man over the internet about the significance and meaning of baptism. Although he thought baptism was necessary for salvation and I did not, I still thought I should get baptized. I just didn't know how I could get baptized. I wasn't going to go up and right-out ask a preacher to baptize me. The next time I went to church I heard the preacher talking about a baptism ceremony they were going to have. I was a bit apprehensive to go, being an introvert at the time, and I didn't think that there was much chance that it would be a local event since it was going to be out in the wilderness somewhere by a river. It turns out that the ceremony was being held by the river a 5 minute walk from my house at the time (the church was 6-7 miles away). I got dressed in shorts, attended, gave my testimony and got baptized. Oh, and I believe I prayed on this one as well... Didn't want to leave you hanging. ;)

These are the only ones I can readily call to mind, but I'm almost positive there are others clinking around up there somewhere.

Yeah, I've asked for many things and most of them i've recieved one way or another. Usually not directly, but often in round-about ways.
