How would a person (insterested in me) would prove He is really interested in being known for me?

Relationships can be built on those tokens, shown regularly, otherwise, the "bond" is vanish and utterly lost. God do not need banners or ads to be known, particularly if He does something to be approachable (not by men, by the way)

How can I let it go when I'm going to be the one losing him when I get to Heaven?
You just have to let the Holy Spirit do the work. Ask God towork tthrough him. My step dad isn't really a Christian, either, and I've told him numerous of times my concern for him, but he still acts the same to this day. You can't change someone. Only God can. You can, though, try to help lead a person to God through ministering. Through inviting him to church. Through even offering a Bible and reading it together. But he is the one that chooses to believe or not. You can't force him. Remember, free will.

We've gone from dingo to fool now? Ouch.

No need for the straw man assertion. I don't have any problems with presenting evidence. It's that the arguments have become so trite and have gone a little beyond presenting God and become more about winning an argument than winning souls for some people.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalms 14:1

The OP states that the person asked for proof/evidence. As to the intent of the person asking, that I do not know.

I feel like I may have offended you by disagreeing in part with your OP here. I didn't mean for that, and in any case, I do respect your posts. Hopefully the OPs interactions with said fellow go well.

the fact the He is actually asking about God.. even if it is for "proof of" that is so good.. and the first step to coming to Faith for many. think Lee Stroble with His "Case for a Creator" series. I recommend the dvd versions of His books- they are amazing and are jam packed full of undeniable evidence of the existence of our amazing Lord!

Thanks! I feel the same way. If he's asking for proof he's thinking abiut God and that's a start. That's why I want to give him good answers.

I'm a very open person about my faith and am always eager to share my testimony to others. The other day one of my friends at work was questioning me about my faith and raised the question "how do you know God is real?" I told him that I just know its a feeling that I have and it's in the way that I wouldn't have gotten through so many things if it wasn't for God. He replied saying "so your proof is nothing more than the way you feel?" I'm a big fan of the movie God's not Dead so I encouraged him to watch it and gave him some examples. He's still not convinced. Me and this guy are really good friends and I want to see him in Heaven. But my mind goes blank every time he asks for proof. I guess I was just wondering if anyone else has difficulties with this, or has any ideas on how I could explain it to him?
I will pray for him.

Here is my advice:
1) Pray
2) I would look up apologetics.
A) Kalam cosmological argument (my favorite)- It goes to the beginning of the world and argues there must be a creator.
B) Moral argument- Basically says the reason for morals is because God exists.
C) Argue for Jesus' death and resurrection- there is proof out there that Jesus really did die and raise from the dead, like the Bible says.
3) pray- most important step

Thanks. This is really good advice. I get your point in saying there's nothing more I can do other than tell him about Jesus and be a walking testimony, I feel like that all the time. He never ridicules me for being a Christian he's even said before when telling him about a mission trip I've been "I think its great that you can do that kind of stuff, I'm just not that good of a person" I tried explaining that nobody is "that good of a person", its God that changes us. Then he brought up proving God exists again. And said that he wasn't going to argue with me because he can't hurt my feelings, or lose me as a friend. Just to let it go.

How can I let it go when I'm going to be the one losing him when I get to Heaven?
First of all, he is not yours to have or to let go. Just keep sharing God's good work in you. Share God's love, share the gospel, even if he is not taking it all in. Believe me, he may not be taking it all in, but his brain is taking little mental notes behind the scenes. One day, he will remember something you may have said in the past, and that may be the one key thing that may be his turning point in life. We all don't want certain people to go to hell. I for one and many others too. But you know? God is in control. God will use you hugely to bring him to God. Just do it in God's time.
