Is this going too far?

Once again its the devil because God has dealt to every man a measure of faith (Romans 12:3) God wants every single creation to make it to heaven. So he gives us faith but its up to us to build on it or cast it away. Just keep hanging with God fearing Christians and not those that are "false" Christians. maybe one day someone will say or do something that will catch your attention and draw you closer to God. Only person to stop you from having a relationship with God is Satan ( if u allow him to continue to speak to you) and yourself. Trust me I been down that road. I didn't believe anything anyone said about God. I was forced to go to church then I grew up and left. But God drew me back because I allowed him too. And he can do the same for u. 3 prayers a day will keep Satan away.

You don't have to apologize o.o But thank you anyway. Like I said, I am a hypocrite. I can take any joke or threat and be fine, but when one person jokes or makes threats to rape, that just puts me over the edge.

its cuz you have compassion for your girlfriend and her pain and realize that jokes or comments like that (wishing people would be raped or killed because they disagree with you) are WRONG and spoken from a heart that has Evil control it.

Jesus taught His disciples to love those who hate and persecute them. pray for them. God the extra mile when they force you to walk with them one go TWO. Jesus said even sinners love those who love them, God wants you to love those who despise you.

Would you ever wish someone you truly loved to be raped?

of course not. the person who said that needs to repent and be freed of the lies they are enslaved to. they delude themselves it they believe that saying such things is what God wants them to do.

The thing about Youtube is it's a place where people can be anonymous and say their opinion without anyone knowing who they are. There's no consequence. What makes this story worse is the fact that you said someone posted it on Facebook, because they're putting themselves out there for anybody they know through Facebook to call them out on it. It sounds like someone who wants this horrible opinion heard.

That's what disturbs me. Normal people become really nasty on the internet (not that I agree, but it's Bystander Effect so it's understandable), but when you're saying those things through your name and picture where all your friends can see, that's someone who's potentially dangerous.

Yep, that's definitely too far. True Christians aren't full of hate like that... It's a shame.

Another comment I found disturbing was multiple people saying they want to shoot atheists heads off. So by that logic, if your child was an atheist, you would want them to be raped by someone and have them be shot? Why the heck can't we just all get along. I have no problem with most Christians, muslims, Buddhists, etc. There are extremists of every religion and non religion that ruin it for them and others. So from a near atheist to all the Christians here on the chat, I just want there to be peace. If you don't believe what I do, that's fine. There are TONS of other things we could have in common and get along just fine. I am not the devil, I am not some immoral person who goes around raping and murdering for fun. I am just your average every day person. I have morals, I am a human being. So after my ranting and what not, the simple question is: were these comments going too far? Thank you for reading my mindless babbling.

This person was being very mean and rude, but in a sense, how is it un-christian? Some people are saying that a real christian wouldn't say such a thing....why not? You have to ask yourself, what is better: being raped or going to hell? If "rape" = the ultimate form of punishment, then this person is basically saying, "turn to Jesus or you will go to Hell". He chose a mean and really bad way to say this....but how is it not true when considering the truth that Christians believe about Hell, a place where you will be burned and tortured and tormented forever and ever?

That would be mean and is un-Christian, not how God would want them to say it. As for telling people about Jesus and Him being the only way to God, if said in a kind and not in an angry way, that is the good news how he can remove their sins from them, crucified them on the cross, and gave eternal life. But only if you accept Him will you be saved. Before I was saved, we were dead in our sins, the wrath of God was upon us, we could not save us by our works, etc. After I was saved, my sins were taken away and he paid the penalty for my sins, the wrath of God was put on Jesus instead me, and I was saved through believing in His name and accepting him into my heart as my personal Savior and Lord. I want all to experience this but sadly many will not.
