in norway we have two main .. some say languages, but they're not THAT different... but... eh.. k thing is

When we belonged to Denmark, we spoke danish, so when we quit talking norse, we ended up speaking danish, in addition to our dialects. - That later turned into bokmål, the "offical" norwegian. But then a guy travelled throghout norway to collect bits of the dialects, and put them together to make Landesmål, - later known as Nynorsk. (So techincally, no one speaks plain either, but nynorsk is based on norwegian and bokmål is based on danish). Bokmål is however what is used in most official documents and newspaper, unless they are in a part of noeway where "everyone" speaks nynorsk.

So:
Eg trur på Jesus = Jeg tror på Jesus = I believe in Jesus

:p yay, I finally confused you!

John 3; 16
Því svo elskaði Guð heiminn, að hann gaf son sinn eingetinn, til þess að hver sem á hann trúir glatist ekki, heldur hafi eilíft líf.

I love that language
