‘’But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.’’ (KJV)
Receiving from God
The Word of God makes it clear that, the natural man (carnal man, someone who is walking and living in the flesh) cannot receive anything pertaining to the Spirit of God. If we cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, we cannot use or enjoy them. If we cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, we cannot pass onto or give to others the things of God because you cannot give what you don’t have. In the light of this fact, we cannot receive anything from God if we don’t reach out to Him in spirit.
Knowing the Things of God
The Bible also says that, we cannot know the things of God while living in the flesh, and the reason is simple: the things of God are spiritually discerned; we can’t know or understand them with our physical senses. Therefore, if we are not receiving or understanding the things of God, there is only one question we need to ask ourselves, and that is, are we reaching out to Him in the flesh or in spirit?
The good news is, the Word of God is always there to guide us back to the right track if we go off track, plus, the Holy Spirit of Christ, who is living in us, leads us into all truth. He’s always there, waiting for us to call for help anytime and anywhere. If you are off your spiritual track, call on Him now and He will help you get back on track.
