I need help to say the least. I have been a dedicated Christian for about three years and this last week I decided to turn from God. I have so many doubts about the reality of Jesus and I am skeptical about how we sacrifice so much human things for the glory of God. These doubts are turning into beliefs. Does anyone have any wisdom for me? Other than "have faith" or "trust in God."

Without God, you won't have a compass. 3 years isn't long enough to see the sacrifices bear good consequences. Please give Him a chance. Eternity is a long time.

Bro, what you need is to take time off the busy parts of your life and sincerely come before God and seek Him. The bible says in James 4:8 draw closer to God and He will draw closer to you. Start building a life of prayer and worship and ask God to open your ears to His voice and your eyes to who He really is. God bless

My thoughts were once a little like yours. I thought God was asking me to sacrifice human things for him. I never turned my back on him but I was doing life the same as my friends who didn't know God. I discovered the hard way that God doesn't call us to refrain from human things as a sacrifice, but because he loves us and knows what's best for us. Sin seems fun for a season but it will take you down a road that you may not like the destination.

I recently had that same scenario... I felt like I wanna let go and just do what I wanna do and just take pieces of the whole doctrine to guide my life. I was even growing disillusioned to it all that just not believing sounded appealing.

Beyond the "have faith" and "God loves you", which in these situations honestly is a bit idiosyncratic in effect... we have to remember that we have a RELATIONSHIP with Him. And no matter how strong our relationship is with Him, time will come when cracks will appear and questions will just bunch themselves in. In every relationship, it pays to be REAL AND HONEST, not to bring the other person down, but to address issues and resolve them.

Why not BE HONEST with Him? Why not share to Him whatever thoughts and doubts you have? He said in His word that if we are burdened, He will carry it for us. Be honest with God not to trash talk Him, but to acknowledge the pain we have of things not working out, and to seek His comforting hands.

God knows our hearts and being honest with Him is already a way of surrendering. Even King David was real to God. When things are going wrong, when his prayers are somewhat unheard, David really told God how he feels. However, he did not do it to make excuses. He did it to seek God and acknowledge that there is a problem that he needs to resolve with and through God.

So maybe we don't understand things right now. Maybe we like don't wanna hear "God loves you! Have faith". But one thing is for certain-- God is willing to listen to you. He is willing to carry your burdens and embrace you with his boundless mercy.

Just seek Him and tell Him everything. Not to make excuses. But to make resolutions. Hope this helps :)

brother, think of how strong GOD has made you for the last 3 years that you believed in Him. you were given enough wisdom than what you are asking from men today. you just need to search deeper in your heart the seed that was planted. it may have withered a little, but it can still be revived. with GOD, nothing is impossible :)
GOD Bless you!
