Ahaha, i have struggled to find the meaning for part of my first name, since it isn't seen in Baby Names books XD

It's basically a fusion of my mother's name: Maria Sonia.

Maria (latin) and Mary (english) are synonymous. The meaning is not known for certain, but there are several theories including "sea of bitterness", "rebelliousness", and "wished for child". However it was most likely originally an Egyptian name, perhaps derived in part from mry "beloved" or mr "love".

Sonia (russian) and Sophia (greek) are synonymous, the meaning of which is wisdom.

After a few minutes of further searching....

This can't be right XD some site says my name actually meant curse (archaic meaning). yikes!

Ahaha, there's a movie with the same name? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Marison/79236334977

Well, the forest girl (i do love forests :)) was named Marison coz she had supernatural powers.

And the 2nd part of my name (Kristine) means "follower of Christ" :)
