Need help with loving other people.

Okay, so I'm having a bit of a problem here. But let me get to the back story first.

Okay, so a few weeks ago I was failing my math class. And I was looking around at some of Keith Moore's sermons. So I downloaded one about grace. Then I realized that I need God's to help me pass the final. during listening to that sermon I heard James 4:6(But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.")NIV. Then the Holy Spirit let me know that my selfishness is a form of pride though my cousin had to confirm it. So I passed the test and class only through God's help. Basically, I know that as I become more humble God will give more grace. And basically I realized that loving is good way not to be selfish(Through another one of Keith Moore's sermons) so basically I'm trying to show more love(Asking for God's help obviously).

The problem is that I never know what to say to people, and the main way I can think of showing love is by being around other people helping them out, blessing them, stuff like that. The problem is that I don't I never know what to say for people so it's very hard for me to get started or anything like that.

Is their any other good ways of showing love to other people.

Basically, I want to the Grace so that'll I'll be able to stay away from porn, be able to actually have real conversations with my friends(instead of mostly just laughing at what their saying, besides I want to be able to help them out too.), And because it'll help out with me getting a girlfriend.

Also I think that as I get more humble, it'll allow me to get closer to God(Because I'll have less pride).

btw, I could also use some pray that God will help me to not look at porn anymore.

Well one of the fruits of the Spirit is Love, you do not learn to love, just let the Holy Spirit have His way in you.
Concerning not participating in conversations I am also like that most of the times. But the way I see it, you and I have an important roll... listening... am sure you'll find out soon.
Concerning porn, START the day with a prayer and read a chapter from the bible. The foundation of the rest of your day is the morning. Before you sleep prayer and commit the next day to the Lord. Gods Word will change you. God bless

My pastor gave a preaching one about sharing the word. He said the more you "practice" doing it the better you'll be at it.

he said you'll go threw those awkward moments where you lay your hands on this long haired blond lady and start paying and say "God PLEASE heal her from breast cancer" and then she looks up and its a guy. >_< then say something like "God PLEASE heal his WIFE from breast cancer!!!!" or something like that. >_<

it comes with practice. you're not gonna get it all of a sudden. same thing with showing your love. it comes with practice. It sounds like you're going in the right direction though so keep going!!! ^_^

you listen to Keith Moore!!!... I totally love him........... I would suggest you start confessing 1Cor 13 over your life... like everymorning or evening you can confess Dot.never fails, Dot. suffers long and is patient, Dot. is kind and does not count the number of times has been wronged... etc. Amen

it makes a difference... that's my church youth group mission for the next few weeks... :)

Porn will ruin any relationship you will ever want to have with a woman. Kill it now.
Buy a blocker and get an accountability partner. I recommend Covenant Eyes.
As a guy who struggles with this problem and am quite a bit older then you I can tell you you need to deal with this issue in the utmost severity.

Treat it like this verse.
Genesis 39:12
She came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, "Come on, sleep with me!" Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as he ran from the house


Also try reading the news or reading a book , so that you have something to actually say.

I am trying to kill it now, I just need God's help with it.

And I do watch the news, and stuff I just don't know what to say to other people than the extreme basic stuff. Though it really doesn't help out that I'm into anime and video games when none of my other friends are.

maybe you can try and get them into it abit i ean theres a type of anime for everyone and video games my and my friends by doing different i never touch warhammer but now i have games with my friends who are into. also if u try and get them into yourstuff trying going into there stuff good way of bonding etc.

if you want to help people just have to care thats all i do everyone in the world has my care and respect regardless of who they are friend strange etc but they can lose my care and respect. that i guess basically helps me help others by being in that mindset o and loving them as if there ur only friend that works aswell
