Okay Jeff, I see where you are going. I understand what you mean. Yes I know much of the word is not preached correctly this is why its not common in churches today to teach people how to evangelise which should be the main focus of church. The only way anyone will be able to please god is by the Holy Spirit. The Lord our King Jesus the Christ said this and so I follow it. What this means is we take everything Jesus said and live by, the old testament is important and the ten commandments are still things we must live by. While I see your reasoning for mentioning the lack of correct teaching in the church I think you could do a better job of explaining or rather leaving out the jargon, words that don't necessarily have much to do with the conversation like "emissaries" etc. I think it would be better to use ambassadors of Christ as this is common phrase used amongst christians and makes the point.
If we want to talk biblical we must start at what the King said and go back and forward. As a gentile the saved by grace by the blood of the King Jesus the Christ, His words are the foundation then we lead to Old testament and the apostles.
I must say that your life would be simpler if you lived by what the King says in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. If you speak/minister from this point the rest of the bible is easier to grasp. I am by no means saying I know more however I am always ready to understand what you are trying to explain and agree that much of the truth of the Gospel of Peace is not preached the way it should.
I encourage you to simplify your argument and also focus on evangelism to non-believers in your community as this is the focal point of our ministry, in doing so you learn to better approach believers and non-believers as you see the light of the Gospel bring life to others. In so doing the Holy Spirit works in you and you begin to understand why the King Jesus the Christ died. Not just for us but for the many that live around you.
