sing language tungs?

ohkay so there is this kid that goes to my wedsday night church group and he sits in the back and one time i sat near hear and glanced over it look like sign language, now is this possible? i though to myself, can sign langauge really be in tungs and now i ask you is it?? what does the bible say about it?

Yes. When the Bible refers to 'tongues' it usually means different languages. ASL is a language all of it's own. It has it's own grammar, syntax, and all that. I'm an ASL major, and I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have if I can.

No, not a prerequisite. It's a gift thaty some people have. I don't have it and it doesn't make me any less of a Christian from someone who does.

how does one get t? tz so confusin cz t smz as if everyone frm ma nu church prays in tungs. n would also like to know the benefits of doing so coz i m completely blank.

from what i have learned in my short time with my church its not so much something you can learn tongues is a gift God gives us as a sign of our faith so although not everyone can speak tongues we should all try our hardest to receive it as a gift well that and the other gift God gives i know there are a few my youth pastor mentioned some there's speaking in tongues and understanding the speaking of tongues and other things but i cant remember those lol so even if we do not receive the gift of tounges there are others that are equally great and for the first question i do believe there can be sign language tounges after all we can grasp how The Lord will give us our gifts and theres nothign He cant do so its a definite possibility in my opinion
