I see many teens around my world and the world being passionated to join the army or become a military. Someone to save lives someone else just to fight.
Is that a true passion, aspiration or just a breath inspired by something else, even spiritual?

I already have my personal opinion about this, after speaking with a couple of teens who would like to join the army but i'd like to see if you have other thoughts or experiences about it.

The people ive met nowadays only do it for the benefits. Maybe some do it out of love for their country like it used to be but have not seen it

So my brother is actually in the army, he joined after graduating High School and he is being deployed to Kuwait again tomorrow.

He was part of the JROTC program in High School and is doing the technical stuff, like he manages the technology that checks up on our satellites, etc. I honestly think it has been a good experience, like yes he has met people and is friends with people I don’t think are Christian, but it has helped him to grow up and be a proper adult. My sister doesn’t like him being in the army though, she doesn’t like our military, she’s a liberal/left wing so yeah...it’s hard to talk to her, lol 😅

My personal experience about this is that some young people became passionate about the army after watching and playing war movies and games and some others would like to join it to be another person, to change and to be disciplied because otherwise they don't know how to be.
So i think both the examples are related to the lack of Jesus in their lives, you don't need several years in the army to change yourself, Jesus can do in no time :) and He can also give you other hobby and interests instead of war video games :)
This is the side I saw.
