So... I'm about to begin a really crazy adventure including couch hopping and road tripping for the next four-ish months. With that in mind, I decided to start a travelers journal today and I was thinking of various passages and verses to write throughout it.

I currently have Psalm 121 on the first page:
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

I know there are many more. What passages/verses comfort you when you are traveling?

I did the 3 months backpacking in Europe thing. Here are some things I hope you will find helpful:
- Be discipline in your rules -- I will read my bible everyday
- I will go to church no matter what city I'm in. Even if it isn't the denomination I usually attend.
- I will look for opportunities to share the gospel.
- I will keep in touch with your accountability partner.
- Ask yourself everyday, "What is God teaching me today." "How can I be obedient to him...?"
- This is a wonderful opportunity to memorize the word "Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee..."

Keep us posted.

If you're going by yourself, be careful and keep your guard up when you stay in the house of others.

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them: for the Lord your God, He is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6) and the same is written so many times in the first chapter of Joshua.
and in the end of Matthew Jesus said I am with you, always, till the end the end of age!! Matthew 28:20....
and this one you have probably heard it less often... 2 Kings 6:13-17.... real great passage... therefore whenever you need to fight... know that the Father has a lot of Chariots which you may not see.. in store for you!!! :)

For that... I left Oregon yesterday and I'm currently in California! :) Maybe I'll dedicate my blog to the travels for the next several months. (If you want a link I can send it to you.)
