Well psymon23 you are clearly a man of great faith! With serious consequences if your faith is misplaced. Have you ever seriously considered the possibility that you may possibly be mistaken? What that might mean? What If there really is an eternal existence after death? What if there is a God? What if you are answerable?
Following pure reason - it is far safer to believe and be mistaken. To live as if there is a God and one is answerable and then to simply find at the end it is lights out is not such a bad thing really. The alternative would scare the pants off of ME... To live as if there is no God and one is not answerable and to discover at death that you have been mistaken.....[/Q
That may work for you but I see it tho other way, what if there isn't a God? What if this is it? If I was to not take every opportunity that comes my way then I'd be missing out in my eyes all I know for certain is that this life is happening there may be an "After life" but if not then I'm making this one the most amazing life ever.
I don't hurt anyone along the way and I experience so many things and emotions and if I'm being honest I'm as happy as anyone I've ever met.
I figure that if someone is happy and in love and can bring joy to someone else that's all that matters no matter what faith or religious beliefs they may have.
