Well i don't think we can ever completely annihilate sin but we can try! The best thing we can all do as christians is to highlight all of the things wrong with our society and just tell everyone! The more people who know, the more people will change their ways and that means less sin! :)

Repent. Plant your feet firmly upon the rock(Matt 7:24). If the winds of temptation knock you down, stand back up. Next time you see them coming along, step out of the way. That, or run from the winds of temptation.(1 Tim 6:11-21)

Jesus seems to think we can.

John 8

1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Notice, he says, go now and leave your life of sin, not leave some of your life of sin.

We can live as an example by NOT doing those things. We can shine forth the light of Jesus into the darkest night and show the world the meaning of true love. We can love everyone, speak in kindness, offer aid with not conditions of money or expected praise. We can give thanks and praise the Lord for the many wonders in the world: the sunrise, the sky, family, friends, music. We can stop listening to the voices that tell us to despair and instead listen to God who tells us to HOPE and HAVE FAITH. we can step out of the boat of our comfort zone and walk on water with our eyes focused on the Lord. We can claim our inheritence as children of God and show the world our spiritual gifts, we can speak the Word of God into the lives of the lost and downtrodden.

We are God's hands and feet, we should be helping others and praising God. To God all glory for ever and ever, amen.

ok translation for the non christian rock people: it reminds me of the slaughter of babies by Herod after the birth of Jesus and shows how Jesus saves.
