What I mean by that is, bands that don't mention Jesus or God directly in their songs but have lyrics that are Christian orientated. I think these bands serve a really good purpose by introducing Christian concepts to non-believers through music that they may not even recognize at first as Christian. Mine are Switchfoot (Jon Foreman's the man) and P.O.D.. I was a huge P.O.D. fan before I accepted Christ and didn't even realize at first that a lot of their songs are actually about God. What are some of your favorite semi-secular Christian bands? (if you want to even call them that)

Sixpence None the Richer. The "Divine Discontent" album is perfect, only missing "Kiss Me."

And Leigh Nash's solo stuff too.

Um. I enjoy P.O.D. very much, but I think they've always been pretty overt in their faith.

THAT would be Grits. I do like that song, but I also enjoy other rap songs, like "Man Up" from 116. I like a few things from Curvine too. Not only does he work with worship teams I've respected for years, I've heard him speak and met him personally. He's legit. He's not semi-secular though, in the least. He's all up in your face about sin, salvation, and grace, like with "They're Watching Us".

I tend to listen to a few songs of each artists so I go by songs rather than artist :p

If you tolerate this (your children will be next) - Manic Street Preachers
No one knows where the road goes - Enya
Frozen - Madonna

and, although I realize they have nothing to do with Christianity, I feel that as a Christian I can relate very much to "Until it sleeps" by Metallica
