I’m just gonna “copy and paste” my answer from the same thread, in the single forums to save time, lol, but I want to add that I did go to college for videogames, specifically I want to do concept art and story writing for videogames, but seeing how the industry is right now, I don’t think they would like my Christian views on life:

“So I'll just list franchises I like/genres I like:

-Pokemon (Was my first videogame, with Pokemon Silver back when I was 7, got it for my birthday. I even play the TCG, Trading card game)
-Kirby
-Mario (Mostly just Mario Kart and the RPGs, but the platforming games are fun)
-Cave story
-The world ends with you
-Hollow Knight
-Kingdom Hearts
-RPGs (The tales series, I mean "Tales of the Abyss", "Tales of Vespiria", Paper Mario and the thousand year door, etc.)
-Platforming games (Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Jak and Daxter, etc.)
-ROM hacks (Especially Pokemon ROM hacks)
-Super smash Bros series

So yeah that's basically it, I do actually want to try Metal Gear solid one day. Since everyone says how amazing it is.“

Has anyone tried Kerbal yet? I played that game over 10 hours before I could land a Kerbal on the moon. It was a one way trip. She still needs to be picked up again lol.

The first Kerbalnaut on the moon was a woman!

I don’t “play” games... but I WATCH video gamers play... so does that count or no? I’m just not that coordinated to actually play a game. Now when I was a kid... it was Mario world... and Then it was any kind of racing game on N64. But meh.. I don’t play games much... I just watch everyone else Do it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have a lot of games I'm fond of across different generations, so it's tough to choose favorites. But if I must choose, I think I lean most towards the three Metroid Prime games.

I've often thought that I would like to make video games that would have more Christian themes in them. Gaming seems to be a medium that's been lost from Christian messaging, whereas there are novels, films, television, etc. that will make use of Christian comments and metaphors and the like.

I have a few friends that are like that. I'd say it counts, whether you play or not presumably you'd still have a favorite game to watch probably.

I love the Metroid Prime trilogy! I bought a Switch as soon as I heard Nintendo was working on a 4th!

I mean dont get me wrong if I could I would play more. But personal life stuff kinda gets in the way of “fun” like that, and worth watching YouTube... it can just be background noise And still get into it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
