AgeofKnowledge you are going back on my ignore list. You can't seem to participate in threads without attacking and demeaning an individual that doesn't agree with your political agenda. You simply refuse to act like a Christian in your speech so I am putting you on ignore.

I'm not going to apologize for hurting your feelings David_1. I've been reading your posts for many months and you desperately lack both knowledge and wisdom. This wouldn't be a problem except that you also have a rebellious spirit toward those of us who don't. Go ahead and retreat into denial but understand that it's a lousy coping mechanism when confronted with the truth. A much better one would be to humble yourself and receive correct instruction.

You are either born a male or female. If there's a third category it was obviously created by man. Respect is one thing, accept is totally different. In my opinion homosexuality is a choice

It's not a sin to love someone, regardless of gender. In fact, it's just the opposite. Love is what we live on. Love is where we came from. How can you go to hell for loving someone? To me that sounds ridiculous.

Well, that's what I believe.

A third category? You're obviously not a "liberal progressive." They've got seven categories now and an honorable mention eighth one called 'all of the above'. I kid you not.

Loving someone doesn't mean that you have to have sex with them. Do you have sex with everyone that you love? Of course not. In God's kingdom, love and holiness go together.

"But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.a Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them." -Ephesians 5:3-7.

I know plenty of single celibate Christian people that have not found a suitable mate and they do not disregard God's holiness and use "love" to justify fornicating and/or committing homosexual acts with other people.

"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood." -Revelations 22:14-15.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

If you really love someone, you don't commit sexual immorality with them. What part of God is holy do you find confusing?

Ageofknowledge raises very clear points about truth. To ignore it still wont make it be any less true!

You would have made a great little Nazi David_1. Re-read your post and think about that.
Your message gets lost in remarks like this.
It is absolutely disgusting to equate a fellow believer in Christ like this. Over what? The voice to be heard as right? But these type of comments taint your voice.

I'm ignoring you too.

I think, you know, it's important to say God's judgment about gay and lesbian because it is against God, but at the same time we're to love our brother/sister in Christ and not judge them.

I'm surprised this thread only got 2 pages... normally it's somewhere around 800.

Homosexuality is living outside of the identity that we have had declared over us in Christ. It's a perversion that the devil created in order to mock the sanctity of marraige. Homosexuals believe they are gay, their arousal is authentic, their attraction is authentic. However, it is spiritual oppression and usually from a young age.

Like any habitual sin, it is rooted in not understanding your identity or trying to follow rules such as the law.

Isaiah 1:10-20King James Version (KJV)

10 Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Taking God and Christianity out of the equation.
Looking at how mother nature operates. Man on man, or woman on woman seems about as normal too me
as one who would like going around and eating kitty poo, poo.

If one would like to add the Bible into the equation. To help us in avoid judging someone. One might consider looking
into who in the scriptures would be able to tempt some into what is in direct conflict with Gods design and plan
for mankind.

Hint!... It is the same person that Jesus himself while being in the flesh, Prayed and fasted for forty days
before willingly going before this person to be tempted by him.

With that said!...What then is the course of action for those that give into the temptations that go the opposite
of nature, design, and Gods plan for mankind?

Not sure why my computer keeps breaking and dropping my sentences to the nest line:confused:

I thought I might share a story. There was a gay man who attended a church I used to go to. (I didn't attend at the time, I was told this story). Anyway the gay man wanted to serve and get involved with the church. Then one day, there was something he didn't feel he could do. He felt unworthy to do it. Then he killed himself.
People received the news with sadness.

Just a word to the wise, I would be careful about the judgment you hold even in your mind against homosexuals.

How long was the Lord patient with your sinning?
He still is?
You are commanded to love by the Lord Jesus. Even your enemy. Even a gay person. For some reason you feel they are so vile to not be either friend or enemy? That's not love.
You have to love them as your neighbor.

Yes love them BUT tell them the truth don't sugar coat the truth The wheat and tare grow together God does the separating. The word convicts and converts. Not us by nature we condemn and judge. It is safe to let the word handle it and use of the word in a skillful fashion not a manipulated version of the word. Right is right and wrong iswrong woe to them that call wrong right and right wrong!

Okay i want to say first off, This is not a topic i want people hating on others. I am actually curious who shares my thoughts or at least is willing to talk to be about my thoughts.

So here it goes...

I don't think Gays or Lesbians are doing anything wrong Because some are not christian. They dont know it is a Sin, so why are we putting them down. I Love them as people, they are human like us.

But here is where i stray from that thought process. If someone who comes from a Gay or Lesbian background and they become a Christian, I believe thats when it is bad, because as brothers and Sisters we are suppost to love one another and help each other through our sins. I think that when someone from that background comes into the church that we work along side them, Not trying to Fix them but Help them see what God wants in there life. (To put it plain an simple, not meaning to be harsh in ANYWAY, but it is something i believe if you are a follower of Christ you need to rid the sin from your life) Every sin is Equal, so my lies are just as bad. But i feel we need to help them see what God wants for them.

i believe that you should not be a gay or lesbian in the church. Now when i say that, I mean Please dont hide it from us, Let us love you Let us walk beside you in this! We want to help! We cant do anything, But God can transform you!

I in no way want to put the message across that i am a Gay and Lesbian Hater, But nor am I a supporter.
I'm not sure I agree with you about them not knowing its a sin. If that was the case they wouldn't be so angry with Christians. I'm not judging but I think that when the fall into the gay lifestyle and they realize that scripture says it is unnatural (and make no mistake it does say it is unnatural) they seem to want to justify their actions rather than repenting and turning back to God at least from what I gather when I used to read yahoo news feeds. I say if anyone who might be gay reading this, toughen up repent and don't think that true Christianity are a bunch of jocks in the locker room that are going to give you a hard time about it.
