Nothing new. The first band of it's kind to gain recognition was in 1994. They are credited for the term 'unblack' (as opposed to black metal). First (and only) album was Hellig Usvart, Norwegian for Holy Unblack. 'Band' (one member actually) was called Horde.

Maaann...Frost Like Ashes is what i "used" to imagine..back when i was listening to this stuff.

I would use the rage i felt , while listening to black/death metal...and point it towards the devil, and all "His" black/death metal followers lol ^^"

There's all kinds of Christian music, all types of metal, punk, hardcore, industrial, etc...
