The reason for this apparent preference is mostly historical.

How long has the King James Bible been around...?
What Bible are most men used to and familiar with?

However, when "putting on degrees", whatever-holy-book-is-meaningful-to-the-candidate is used --- so as to create in the candidate the greatest impression possible that they are truly bound to their oath. ( i.e. -- If the candidate follows Islam, then a Koran is used. )

And, of course, to help the candidate to feel more comfortable about the validity of what they are going through...

Yes they do, it seems as though only the modern church doesn't understand that the King James bible is the inerrant word of God. There's not a dimes worth a difference between Freemasons, New Agers and the Illuminati, they are nothing more than modern day versions of Dagon worshiping Philistines.

God uses modern day Philistines to prove the church today. Most bible scholars, heads of Seminaries, and TV preachers are either Illuminati puppets or Freemasons... modern day Philistines. I agree Gary, the bottom is totally unaware and I'm not name calling and I am certainly not picking on Catholics. As I said earlier, there are only 2 religions in the world, bible Christianity and all the rest. Bible Christianity is not found in any church or denomination. Bible Christians can be found in any of these denominations and even in the Catholic church, but the denominations and the churches do not teach bible Christianity... not even the Southern Baptists. The only difference I see between Catholics, Protestants, Masons and Muslims etc. is the extent of deception.

Bible Christianity only comes from the believer coming to a relationship with Jesus Christ through the word of God and sadly not many people make it to this point, most stay trapped in the "religion" of the denominations.

First let me say, I am not for or against Pat. I simply meant I have followed
him since the early 70's. He helped a business man (Christian) get us in
WV started with a Ministry. Then later into a local Christian TV station.
That was how I knew him for a long time.

I read his book and I remember the Novel, forget the Title now, and in it
he has us going through tribulation. I knew he was not a believer in Rapture.
I also have had issue with the direction their program was heading. I was
really getting antsy when Gordon was beginning to bring in the 'angel dust'
people etc. Or was it Gold dust ? Nevertheless, I was getting nervous the
direction they were headed in. I see Gordon does not have that program now.
It is sad in a way because I do believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy
Spirit. But, man it has gotten so out of control, and too much deception.
My husband was and still does watch 700 Club. He and I have been very
blown out of the ball park with some of the things Pat has been saying and
truly, I have begun to watch first half hour for news, and switch to another.
I like Pat as a person. I still think the photo was not his head and the hand?
I can't say for sure, because he does have big hands.
We support them but dropped the amount. I mark my support for Operation
Blessing. I do believe in that ministry.

I agree with you about TBN 100%. I will not watch it. I saw few years ago
enough to make me see what direction they were headed in. I was always
keeping Christian TV on all day long, and listen as I worked around the house.
One day I heard Paul, Sr. Make a statement about the acceptance of a group
I knew not to be of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that did it for me.
I disliked the so called theme park they opened and when I saw the previews
I thought it blasphemes. Only God knows. I do not support them. I do not
agree with all they allow to be taught. It has been several years since I watched
them. I pray if there be any good and honest Christian teachers on TBN, that
their eyes will be opened and leave there.

Okay, about Hillsong. I won't put them down totally. I love some of the worship
songs. However I will say, I heard someone say, they saw some of the songs
as more like 'intimate male & female' love songs. I don't know what to say about
that.

I am questioning why the videos are made with background symbols. I actually
went back after yesterday just to check out and I saw more than the first time.
Why do they need that ? I don't think Hillsong can be blamed, is it the person
making the videos ? There are many people who do that and post on YouTube.
So question is "Who is responsible?"

Well, we can say one thing. We keep our focus on Jesus and listen for the good
and if we spot the images, expose it. I have been cautious, but obviously not
cautious enough. Now question will be.... what good is revealing this going to do ?

I can't seem to get by the seeming 24 hour telethons, seed sowing infomercials. One guy this week said that God was "obligated" to bless us if money were sent to them. Really? God is "obligated" to us? Which God is that? TBN and QVC...it's hrad to tell the difference any more.
