Could tongues without interpretation be of gnosticisim?

The internet gives no definite answer to the teachings of gnosticism in christianity other than hinting that it is of knowledge and yet by also embracing the spiritual world.

Gnosticism is a modern term categorizing a collection of ancient religions whose adherents shunned the material world – which they viewed as created by the demiurge – and embraced the spiritual world.

Think about it. How can tongues without interpretation not be applied to gnosticism when believers erroneously seek self edification by speaking in tongues?

Do they misapply Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 14th chapter as if they can be self edified by speaking in tongues in mysteries as if Paul meant that he does not need interpretation for that tongue as manifested by the Holy Spirit thru himself for that tongue to be fruitful to himself to actually be edified by?

That means tongues were never meant to be without interpretation; not even to the tongue speaker like Paul.

Would that explain why the Codex Sinaiticus was found in a waste basket at a monastery because it was not a practice to study the written word of God regularly for that to be worn out & replace with copies of it? Are not monks generally known for praying and fasting and doing good works? It can't be about the written word of God when their Codex do not get worn out from use.

I pose this correction by Paul to Timothy to be reproving such a practice so as to seek edification by the written word, and not by how believers think Paul meant by tongues without interpretation for their own personal edification.

2 Timothy 2:[SUP]15 [/SUP]Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.[SUP]16 [/SUP]But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.[SUP]17 [/SUP]And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; [SUP]18 [/SUP]Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some..........[SUP]24 [/SUP]And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,[SUP]25 [/SUP]In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;[SUP]26 [/SUP]And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Could Paul be speaking against gnosticism's mentality in creeping into christianity by getting self edification from the spiritual world and not by the written word of God?

Was it not during the Toronto's Blessings that someone said in the media that "We do not need the word of God any more. All we need is the Spirit." ?

Has Pentecostalism & Charismatics have gone back to the way of gnosticism without knowing it?

Can you prove that gnosticism cannot be linked to what is going on in the churches today where they claim self edification by tongues with no interpretation?

Some people in my church pray in tongues. But it's my understanding that this is a direct conversation between that person and God and it's not for me to understand
