Mine was red. It lasted about a month, so it might have had a couple more watch batteries.

Mines a wind up light I got at Harbor Freight(20 years ago?,lol) It actually still works but if I didn't use it for a while it runs down quick(the more I use it the longer it works)...

Sounds like much better quality.
I bought too many lights. None of them lasted that long.
If you replace the rechargeable batteries, I'll bet it'll be like new.
Maybe I'll get one for when the power goes out.

My Mom always told me to behave and I didn't have a clue what a "have" even was so I looked it up,, still don't know what one even is...
Since I've recalled wondered this before, you managed to irritate my word nerdness into action, which only confirmed my word nerdness when I saw that my bet was correct regarding its entymological origin as the Middle English 'behaven.' Fortunately, your poor mother did have one in the fashion of a bedroom.

To Summarize the thread:

We're all going to die horribly in some freakish apocalypse...
but we're gonna have great flashlights.

Well, nothing says 'prepared' better than a flashlight.

Boy Scouts say "be prepared" better.
I don't know about that. Monty Hall would've gone broke if he happened upon mom with her purse.

If there's a grid down event, it will give us all a chance to try out our preps.
If some mad scientist uses the event to do something diabolical, we shall be ready.

I don't disagree with that, but it is their motto...or at least it was. Today it might be..."be whatever".

More correctly, yes, it is now, "identify as prepared".

It is obviously that she loved you more than..., well, more than her public image, and even more than your image of her. The tears evidencing the concern for the risk of the switch's impact on it as much as your backside.

You have to bare in mind though I live in Texas where Republicans have ruled for the last three decades,,,where five hundred people freeze to death when the electricity goes off and we live without power for two or three weeks when Hurricanes come in...at least spare us the comfort of a working flashlight,lol...
