Recently there have been a lot of food recalls. Seems every time I look at my news feed, there's another recall. Onions, 1/2 a million pounds of canned beef, 24,000 lbs lamb shoulder, 10,000 lbs of pork, over 20,000 lbs of beef and pork tamales. In the case of the lamb and pork, there's technically nothing wrong with the meat, it just didn't go through the proper inspections. The tamales have an unlisted food allergen (sesame) so on the side of caution, they want that product returned or tossed.
In some cases they're telling folks to just toss the food. In others, they say you can return it. Either way, the conspiracy theorist in me is starting to get a bit louder and more suspicious. Recently I've heard an interesting idea: that a lot of these recalled foods are just transferred to government facilities. That the recalls are just ways for the military to get "free" food and stock up for...something.
Even if it's NOT a nefarious way to take food away from Americans and store it up for themselves, with food prices going up, and up, and up, I can't help but wonder if the "powers that be" are purposely trying to take our food and create a shortage.
I also find it strange that so much of the recalls are MEAT. I mean, over and over we're hearing about how Gates and Bezos want everyone to eat "synthetic" meat. Sure would make it easier for us ignorant sheep to switch over if the REAL meat keeps getting recalled, right?
So what do y'all think? Are these recalls legit or is it just a scheme for the gov. to take our food and prep for themselves?
