I think your correct on one thing because after the Bush/Gore election I had come to the mind my vote didn't count and stopped voting altogether. The reason why is they said on the radio Bush had won but it was still about 2:30 pm in Texas and we hadn't even finished voting yet. And so after watching all these things unfold from 2015 till now in the media and here on CC both me and my family are all again registered voters.
Anyway though things like public
servants , (Senators,Governors ect.) referring to "other servants" (baristas=
servant) as slackers may very well backfire. I think the endorsements by Trump for the party members who ran Texas for the last three decades may have put the icing on the cake because Texas was great 30 years ago but it isn't any longer. Your correct though this all could backfire and why is if we reflect back in time because of "Make America Great Again"(Trump made us remember,,rofl) to the 50's,60's at the time we see as when it was great in our eyes(and his) what is going to stand out is we're referring to times like when leaders like JFK(D),Johnson(D) were in office. Again for instance in Texas reflecting back to those same days(50's 60's) those leaders were again all Democrats

was great. Today though it seems people just wear a red shirt or a blue shirt irregardless of what their leaders actually do and vote that way.
