When Forest is sitting on the bench in Savannah, GA and speaks of his mother's saying he's speaking in past tense. His Mama USED to always say that "life was like a box of chocolates". When you see the scene with his mother saying it (in the past) she says "is".
What'd you make of ME mayo? data saturation with slight nuances of over exposed misquotes? Nefarious quantum key word substitutions? Power of suggestion?

My first exposure to it had to do with Bible verses and I was taken aback. Looking into it (specifically what is erroneously called "The Lord's Prayer") I found the explanation. The majority of folks who speak English only have learned to recite it as it is found in the Book of Common Prayer (thus the "forgive us our TRESSPASSES" as opposed to "debts"). Further examination uncovered that the ME is noting more than folks simply misremembering. I saw this when I was in law enforcement with eye witness testimony being pretty unreliable.

I will admit I was surprised to see the video of James Earl Jones misremembering his lines from ESB ("Luke - I am you father"). But then again, it's like the Nazis said - If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth.

Goebbels learned from the best~ Walt Disney. Also factory in the component that once you allow one so called ME citation to be possible, the mind will leap to others. I'll admit it twisted me up for about a week. Mama said there'd be days like that.

Since we were little, we have all been shown images that depict the worlds view of Gods Word. So our memory at least subconsciously has picked it up.
When brought into question, we also question our own memory. This is part of Satans illusion and lies. To get you to question Gods Word.
Before this whole ME years ago more than 15 years I came across this verse and got mad that my own church sold me this lie in the form of "activities" when I was just 6 or 7 years old. I'm not saying those who shared the "activity" were trying to deceive me, but more than likely they were deceived also. Sadly, many Christians don't bother reading the Word for themselves but rather listen to someone else and auto think "they must have the correct info".
If you take the Bible as a whole, you realize that the lamb and wolf make more sense in context. BTW, the lion is also in that passage which can make it even more "disturbing" if you let it.
Don't let it. Trust God and NOT man.

For those of us experiencing the ME, do you think we are completely incompatible with the universal server updates, or do we just need to clear our cookies and browser history?

The devil is the father of all lies. Untrue thoughts are demons.

Proverbs 24:9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

If the Mandela Effect is false, then those who believe in the effect are in sin, harboring a lie.

If the Mandela Effect is true, then the believers have the truth in them (true recorded memories) and the changes they now perceive are physical manifestations of a lie (physical manifestations of demons).

It is rather exciting either way you look at it.

It's just manipulating your memory to make you think you remember things differently...it's a parlor trick

The lunatic fringe forums are overflowing with people that believe in this Mandela-effect malarkey. It's funny in a sad way. They are so absolutely sure of their belief and their evidence that they defend it tooth and nail against anyone who challenges their position, even when they have no position to defend. It's like a slow-motion train wreck to watch them think their way through things.

The effect is real. The question is, why is it happening?

Whether it is "just happening" or "someone is up to something" is left to be decided.

In any case, it definitely "plays tricks" on the memory...

I have determined that the things I remember differently - really were not different.

I believe that we are "impacted" by things like - imagery that we see -- which is why the "lion and lamb" thing is prevalent. Seeing enough pictures of a lion and a lamb laying next to each other all our lives can have its impact on our memory - which, somehow, "takes over" when we think about the scripture with the wolf and the lamb.

With regard to the Zapruder film, I think 'focus' may have something to do with how many people we remember being in the car.

It is all interesting, nonetheless...

:)

Agreed. It's also attributable to poor human memory recollection and the arrogance of "I remember it right, and everyone else is wrong".

What's more likely? You remember something wrong...OR...you are the victim of a monolithic, far-reaching conspiracy perpetrated by a cabal of devious demon worshippers that are using a cluster of quantum computers in conjunction with the CERN facility to make you "jump" into different realities...and they are doing it all for giggle to mess with you?

Common sense. So rare, it's a super-power.

And, what do you think I just got through saying??????????

You need to learn to read before you react...

I said the effect is real -- meaning, that people really do remember some things as though they should be different from what they are.

I indicated that there are perfectly logical reasons for it to occur.

I suggested that nothing has actually changed; people just remember it differently.

GO BACK AND READ IT AGAIN.

What is wrong with you people? Has the Mandela Effect affected your short-term memory or something...???

:p

( haha - yes, that is a joke )

Calm down, Francis. You're about to blow a gasket. Gee, wouldn't that be a shame?

Now there are 6 people in the JFK limo. I remember 4. I did drink alot of 4 hour energy drinks which may have zapped my Hippo Cummulus short term memeory...
The Mandela Effect is real, and so are demons, devils, and his kingdom. satan is the god of this world, the author of confusion, having us doubt what we see is what he is achieving.

Don't get caught up with all this stuff, what the world sees and believe is irrelevant to your walk with Christ. The Mandela Effect is small potatoes to what he is going to do later. satan is the god of this world for the moment, he can change things as he sees fit. He can't change the meaning of the Word of God though, not allowed. If he does change as verse, it can't be in such a way to change the meaning thereof.

Fret not about the Mandela Effect, don't give it a second thought, don't get caught up with his schemes, it will only cause even more confusion on your part. i know someone personally who almost lost her Faith entirely because of this Mandela Effect thing. Until i explained to her, that it is all satan, and that God would not allow satan to change His Truths in His Word. She was doubting the very Word of God because of this Mandela Effect, which in turn caused her to doubt her entire belief in the Word of God. Get a grip people, it is a tactic of satan, to cause confusion, and it seems to be working to a small degree.

You have perked my curioisity. I just wonder what the Mandela Effect is supposed to be. Never heard of it before.

From what I can glean from the posts seems to be something to do with memory?
