Sounds like people have to much time on their hands... Come into a conspiracy section for jokes... Lame
why should anyone take this stuff seriously? maybe our capital has street plans with occult symbols, maybe our money has the eye of horace and a pyramid capstone returning (old occult prophecy) and maybe many of our leaders go to bohemia grove where they have a child sacrifice ceremony in front of a giant owl with a bonfire. well maybe these things go on but im sure its nothing to worry about, im gonna go and catch some reality tv and play with my brand new smart phone.

Yes there are secret societies. I know because I am in one. It does not mean it isn't secret if I tell you about being it, what makes it secret is me not telling you ABOUT IT. Most secret societies are connected to each other. Most of them (like the one I am in) have been around for centuries. The stay secret for a reason :)

Masons (appx. 18 presidents and numerous others)

bohemia grove (Clinton attended in 1991 before he was elected), 1000s of the most powerful men in u.s.

Yale skull and bones society (bushes attended, along with John Kerry)

bilderberg meetings (top 200 most powerful people attend a yearly meeting), Obama, Clintons(both), bushes, queen of England, bill gates, top people in all fields relating to govt, finance, banking, technology, media (including abc, nbc, CBS, CNN, FOX directors). Hillary Clinton was fined 300,000 for breaking the Logan act after attending)

Federal reserve (private bank lends money to u.s. Govt, owned by the 6 "major" banks. Congress has no power over the fed, it can print as much money as they want with no oversight, free from govt. intervention "above the law")

There is open source material available to the public including documents, member lists, and itinerary from each event, usually leaked to the public, usually by an employee of the resort they stay at.

I would imagine many people have never heard of any of these, or aren't fully informed.

Do you believe they exist? Yes.
Which ones do you know? The Democrat and Republican parties.
What are they goals? Profit from destroying the country.
Are they correlated? Unfortunately, yes.
Who are their members? People of ill repute.
And why are they so secret? Because if people woke up, they'd cease to exist.

There could be secret societies but they haven't been doing very well keeping it a secret ever since youtube was established.
They spent centuries trying to hinder the invention of electricity so that the internet wouldn't be invented so that youtube wouldn't be created so that we could all know about these secret societies. It's a grand plan I tell ya.

Bohemian Grove is a 2,700-acre (1,100 ha) campground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, belonging to a private San Francisco-based men's art club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a two-week, three-weekend encampment of some of the most powerful men in the world.

Yep. There's a lot of powerful people that attend "the grove". Everyone from politicians and bankers to presidents and tech executives. Their member lists have been harder to expose the last few years. They've been cracking down on whistleblowers. Some say it's not a big deal but Reagan, carter, ford, h.w. Bush, g.w. Bush, Clinton have attended the meetings there. I don't think Obama was invited though. Ha. Obama and Hillary have attended the bilderberg meetings though back in 2008. I'm not up to date on whether or not they've attended recently.

The late Anthony C Sutton from the Hoover Institution was always interesting and unlike most of you knaves who believe anything, he was a scholar and careful researcher:

Ageofknowladge, your better than saying that other people with differing beliefs are knaves (dishonest, unscrupulous). At least there's a discussion here. Which is more than I can say for the rest of America or the christian community. More and more people are coming to the realization that something has been going on in this country that has been hidden from us, and is Finally being uncovered. But 99% of people who do come across the truth fall into the category with cognitive dissonance because the realization is too much for them and are unable to come to terms with the fact that most of the history we are taught and the things we hold dear have been manipulated and perverted.

I have heard of anthony sutton but I am not familiar with his beliefs but I will take a look at the video above

Unlike 99.99% of the uneducated/ill educated, often drug and alcohol addled conspiracy ignoramuses spewing false information all over the Internet, Anthony C Sutton was a real scholar (Phd/DSc in science) and research fellow with Stanford University's prestigious Hoover institution in addition to being a world-class economist (he was also an economics professor at Cal-State Los Angeles), historian, and author on two continents.

Because he was a research fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution, he had complete access to the Hoover Institution Library and Archives which is one of the largest collections of 20th century documents in the world. Through his position there, he had access to almost all of the world's libraries and archival repositories including special access to Soviet archives at a time when very few did as the Cold War had not yet ended.

This wasn't some pothead with a YouTube channel or leftist independent film producer who used contacts to get interviews like you see today. That's all Mickey Mouse.

No. Anthony was the genuine article, the real McCoy, 100 percent authentic.

Understand?

Another viable academic source (not to be confused with wild alien reptilian nonsensical crazies that you people usually cling to) is Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt. She was the senior policy advisor in the United States Department of Education during the Reagan Administration.

Here's her blog: ABCs of DumbDown

Charlotte wrote a book called 'The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America' which is a chronological history of the past 100+ years of education reform. Each chapter takes a period of history and recounts the significant events, including important geopolitical and societal contextual information. Citations from government plans, policy documents, and key writings by leading reformers record the rise of the modern education reform movement. See: PDF Downloads

Yes, i've read charolet's book "deliberate dumbing down" and watched many of her interviews. The only thing I would say is that there is a ton of great information out there. I think some of the most important information comes from the papers that these globalists write for each other. Which I'm assuming mr sutton would have access to. I wish he was still with us to get his take on everything that is going on now.
We're lucky today in that we have aceses to a big percentage of the information that mr. Sutton had avalible to him during his research up until the early 2000's. If were willing to search for the information we can find it. Many people are unaware that there is something called "the deep web" where you can find most information imagineable. The deep web is approximately 500x bigger than the traditional and accessible web. The deep web consists of appx 550 billion pages while the internet we're familiar with consists of 1.5 billion pages. It would take even the smartest man or woman 1000 life times to crunch all of that data. If someone truly seeks the truth they can find it. Today people have access to the same type of information mr. Sutton had, excluding of course some proprietary information that the Hoover institution may have had(even so I'm sure some found its way onto the deep web). Think of the regular internet as your banks home web page and think of the deep web as your banks web page after you put in your password and have access to all of your banking information. You can scroll through billions of documents that the general public has no access to and no idea it even exists.
i agree with you that some people who subscribe to some of these more extreme theories are more prone to them because of past drug abuse or physical or metal traumas but who am I to judge?? But many people these days are just normal everyday joes who, on a subconscious level know something is wrong. I personally do not subscribe to the belief in aliens or shape shifting reptiles (aka david icke) although after my research I do believe many of the people involved in these "conspiracies" are tapped into something dark and they do believe in a god, just not the GOD you and I believe in.
Every person can add something to this conversation whether it's information or maybe they can add a new perspective to it. I try and listen to everyone beliefs and then I come to my own conclusions.

Decent post ctc1989. The most important competency to acquire when examining conspiracy theories is to learn how to qualify evidence and source. This allows you to carefully qualify what's real and potentially real from the much larger pool of fabricated nonsense that is not real.

Academic scholars, like Anthony C Sutton for example, and their work will always be meaningful for the simple reason that it's true. Truth is found in correspondence and truth is always meaningful.

Truth, is what differentiates the one who is informed (and attempting to inform others) from the one who is deceived (and attempting to deceive others) so it's of utmost importance to accurately differentiate what is true from what is not.

I agree with that totally, but sometimes it's tough to differentiate. Expecially when people are just starting. There is soooooo much information out there it's tough to know for sure. I think deep research is the only way to be really sure, which takes time, which many people can't or won't put in. But it is encouraging to see many people starting to wake up, people need to start somewhere. I think that's where a good network comes in, no single person can know everything, but a group of dedicated people can get a good handle on things.

Any other sources you think people would benefit from??

Yes, I have many sources people will definitely benefit from. But it's better to teach a person to fish than get them completely reliant on the fish you catch ;).

Indeed it takes real time and real effort to gain the intellectual and investigative competencies to be able to distinguish the genuine from the many counterfeits, but it is necessary lest you end up standing before God making excuses for your negligence and/or deception.

Best to put in the work and learn logic, research and statistics, actual history (not to be confused with fabricated revisions intended to accomplish political objectives), and everything else necessary to stand approved before God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed. Not only will you receive eternal rewards for doing so but you'll make a positive difference as an agent of truth and integrity; however large or small, here on earth.

Of course, like life, this is a process. It doesn't happen all at once and mistakes do occur. But fortunately, no one (including God) expects it to and grace is always present for the genuine repentant.

But if you're smoking dope all day and/or getting stupid drunk and spending your time being deceived and deceiving others, in your colossal ignorance, then you're just muddying the waters further and accomplishing nothing worthwhile. There will be no reward for that. You're just part of the problem in a world that needs real solutions. EOM.
