I just listened to this. Sphere, did you think this through? Do you really, for even a second, believe that China is ever going to be allowed to cripple or control the USA through land or business acquisitions? If it comes to a point that the country is in any kind of real trouble with food shortages, or any like such thing that can jeopardize us, the government will just do a legislative or war act action. They are buying stuff that is in our country. How in the world do they ever really hope to control that if we decide ist is against our own interests? We'll just force them to take a buy out if it gets even close to crisis levels.

Spherical comes up with some doozies, but this one has merit. The Chinese have been embarking upon the largest military buildup in the history of the world - led by development of weapons with the sole and singular purpose of taking out aircraft carriers (which are of course our pre-eminent ambassadors of war). During Obummer's term they have REPEATEDLY warned him that the U.S. had better not default on it's Chinese loans. Their intent has been to sell us the rope by which we will hang ourselves.
