Equity and bond holders wiped out. Expect massive lawsuits going forward.....

On Sunday, Credit Suisse has been informed by FINMA that FINMA has determined that Credit Suisse’s Additional Tier 1 Capital (deriving from the issuance of Tier 1 Capital Notes) in the aggregate nominal amount of approximately CHF 16 billion will be written off to zero.

In consideration of the unique circumstances affecting the Swiss economy as a whole, the Swiss Federal Council is issuing an emergency ordinance (Notverordnung) tailored to this particular transaction. Most importantly, the merger will be implemented without the otherwise necessary approval of the shareholders of UBS and Credit Suisse to enhance deal certainty.

I wonder what the downstream effects of this heavy-handedness will be huh?

Looks like ALL of the mafia bosses have teamed up to keep the casino from burning down......

"The SNB is of course in a mess itself, having lost $143 billion in 2022. The SNB balance sheet is bigger than Swiss GDP and consists of currency speculation and US tech stocks. This central bank is the world’s biggest hedge fund and the least successful.

Why does Biden being crooked give Trump a pass to be crooked ????????????????????????

It's not either/or people!

It's both!
Trump is a squeaky clean choirboy compared to the Bidenistas.
Get a grip on reality.
And the only hope in America right now is a small cadre of legit Repubs earnestly seeking to unveil the horrific TRUTH about
the election fraud, fake DS war scams, COVID plandemic scam, the sellout to the globalists and the EPIC crimes of the Bidenista crime family. Among other things.

The 800lbs gorilla in the room is the fact of US insolvency.....and that of practically every other western nation.
No political party has any possibility of fixing that.

Newsom under pressure to take executive action on reparations if California Legislature doesn't act

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ne...reparations-california-legislature-doesnt-act

So who is going to pay for this? California is already broke and is experiencing massive deficits. Let Newsom and all the other rich politicians pay for this.
Who cares, it will be hilarious. Do you have to live in California? What if you were living there and moved out recently? Also who pays for it, current tax payers? This will be a great encouragement to sell your house and get out while you can.

Fury at Manhattan’s Bragg over Looming Trump Charges Dominates House GOP Retreat: ‘Stop Going After People Because You Have Political Differences’

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...ng-trump-charges-dominates-house-gop-retreat/

Stop going after people because you have political differences? That's what this is all about and it's also how communists in other countries get things done.
I have family members that cheer with every seeming victory against Trump. They have been completely silent on this one. It seems even they realize what this is.

Well, you know what the Bible says

"Bragg goes before a fall"

Just ask the Pillsbury Doughboy.
And it must be really catchy because removing elected officials after the people voted them into office seems to be spreading. I didn't vote for any of these people(I live in another district) but it's still a hundred or so miles from me(so in our local news)... Anyway in Texas if the elected officials don't do what the dictators in Austin want well,,,you pass laws that give you power to replace them with those you appoint and so you remove those the people elected? https://www.nbcnews.com/news/texas-...-educational-outcomes-not-always-im-rcna75423 https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/17/us/houston-texas-school-takeover/index.html

We are becoming a banana republic. Either people will rise up and live free or cower and live as they are told. We either accept the challenge of our times or succumb to them.

Banana Republic describes it well I think,,lol In Texas we carried on for the last few years about stolen elections and how we were re-redistricting and making it harder to cheat at voting and then removed elected officials ourselves,,,, Why bother voting if it's rigged?

I definitely agree that stolen elections can be very demoralizing. But life is what we make of it largely. I'm reminded of a story I heard one time:

Somewhere in the Middle East there is a golf course where monkeys live in the trees on the property. If you hit the ball and a monkey picks up your ball, the course rules say your next shot is to be played from the spot the monkey drops the ball.

We don't always get to choose the lie of our lives. We are still expected to hit the next shot.
