I think (which I'm doing a lot lately, and it might be deemed a dangerous past time) but... I do think - we should redirect our prayers. Not pray for change, but pray for SALVATION for specific individuals.

Saul of Tarsus, a Pharasee in Jerusalem, swore to wipe out the new Christian Church, he got Letters from the high priest authorizing him to arrest any follower of Jesus... so him and his companions, I would assume quite a few chops, made their way to Damascus. Now this was a movement of powerful men, men who had the authority over death and life in those times.

On the way to Demascus Saul and his team was struck down by a blinding light, brighter than the sun and that's where God called Saul "SAUL, SAUL, why do you persecute me?" when Saul asked how he was speaking to, the voice replied: "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."

So I say, lets intercede that God raises a "Paul" in our governments, a "Paul" who would not be afraid to tell King Agrippa that it is hard for you to kick against the Goads (Acts 26:14) someone who would stand up and fearlessly bring God back into perspective and into view.

God only needed ONE man to take the Gospel to the Gentiles.

The problem isn't the Constitution ... it is Man.

But the constitution is defective in that it does not spell out who is the final authority on defining the meaning of the Constitution.
The Constitution of the USA is not defective. And, it does spell out the defining authority -- the people. However, it must be interpreted according to the common language of the common people at the time it was written.

I am surprised that people think the Constitution is not defective. You say "It must be interpreted" -- fine; but who has the final authority on interpreting it? The people do not have that authority. 90 percent of the population can vote for a law on a referendum, and the court of 9 persons or actually only 5 can slap it down. We have seen this most recently with the establishment of sodomy. The people & their reps generally passed laws against it. There were laws criminalizing homosexual sex. 5 persons on the Supreme Court can cancel out 200,000,000 voters.

We have no workable way to remove SCOTUS justices; they are in for life.

Are you sure that our constitution is not defective?

Well, Paul did revolutionize the Roman Empire. You are correct. Of course he got thrown out of city after city, imprisoned in house arrest, later evidently eventually locked in a dungeon and his head cut off. Christianity was violently persecuted until IMHO, satan joined the "church" and did more mischief that way than before. So I don't think Paul cured the political ills of the Roman Empire.

Maybe we need an Elijah? It is amazing that with all the Christians in the USA, we have such little influence.

The Constitution of the USA is not defective. The modern [ federal ] system - which deviated from the [ original intent of the ] Constitution -- is what is defective...
