that's kind of the crux of it lol.

flat earther's seem to be a particular kind of troll that the forum doesn't care enough about to get rid of.

why do we waste our time?
i guess for each other's sake

as the Proverbs say - wisdom, understanding and knowledge are more precious than any earthly thing. so we share knowledge and understanding with each other - all the while knowing that 99.xxx% of the flat-ites have already decided in their hearts to reject such things.

you can learn a lot by finding the errors in wrong thinking, too - which is i guess the 'fun' for me in destroying their arguments. finding the mistakes are instructive.
no the mods get rid of them but they are like unto kudzu despite getting rid of some here and there they still multiply rapidly.

i've sat and watched kudzu vine over a period of a few hours before - you can literally see it noticeably grow! And the roots are very difficult to get out; a small bit left in the ground can grow back into a great plant.

This whole nonsense is emblematic of how hard it is to keep error out of the church. Like weed spores, blowing in with the wind, it's a constant battle for your garden.

You don't get outside very often; I have seen clouds behind the sun and the moon many times.
You're obviously either a liar or don't comprehend what you see.

Here's something that really occurs, twice every day, that you should ask yourself about:

How is it possible that sunlight shines on the bottom of clouds?

precisely the reason for my use of kudzu as an analogy.

A type of plant that grows rapidly and is nearly impossible to get rid of for that reason, even using goats to eat it doesn't do much, you have to uproot it to get rid of it.

ha! like dandelions. ;)

only they serve a useful purpose in being the first flowers children gather to present to their mommies ♥, and they are fun to blow... which, in turn, gives one more dratted dandelions. lol

Hey, you can eat dandelion greens though, and make a surprisingly nice wine from the petals. Not sure what uses there are for kudzu..
It was imported from Japan by the highway department to use to prevent erosion on steep banks, to combat landslide risk etc, but it grew so prolifically that down south it's really common to see houses, barns, almost whole small towns engulfed in it. People lost the fight, gave up on the land and moved away; it's just so hard to remove and grows so fast. Or maybe the people never escaped at all! Trapped under kudzu!

The thought process of a conspiracy theorist is an interesting thing. Accepting non-verifiable information as facts, accepting info that ONLY confirms their views while deriding anything that refutes it, using highly questionable sources for information, believing that lack of proof of the opposite of their views constitutes proof of their position, total ignorance about fundamentals of math/science/physics, the rabid defensiveness-then-hostility towards anyone who challenges their position. All of these things exist with conspiracy theorists.

Whatever fringe topic exists, there are followers of it, and regardless of the differences amongst people in general, the behavior of the disciples of the lunatic fringe is practically scripted. Flat Earth, Nibiru, 9/11, Mandela Effect, Alien/Nazi UFO bases in Antarctica, Illuminati/NWO, whatever...the discussions are all the same. They know they are right no matter what. Nobody can tell them differently, and if you do, you're labelled a "shill" or a "dumb sheep" or you're accused of "being asleep". Then if you persist, they'll go on the attack and try to drown you in YouTube videos presented as though they are "proof" of whatever head-bangingly asinine topic they think they've figured out the "truth" about.

To boil the whole thing down - people like to feel special and for some, deluding themselves that they have knowledge others do not is the way they feel special. The best thing any of us (those of us who still have somewhat of a grip on reality) can do is metaphorically pat them on the head and send them on their way.

This post is just your way of admitting you can't answer this thread question.

all space is merely 'TIME', God's Time...don't waste your time trying to figure out
what He has and is doing, concentrate on what He is requiring of you 'right now',
in your daily life...His instructions are very specific...

You know I always love it when the sun is still up, yet you can see the moon.

Will you answer this thread question?
How is it possible that twice a day, predictably, verifiably, demonstrably & reliably, sunlight shines directly on the underside of clouds?

What geometry explains this easily observed fact that billions of people have seen thousands of times?
