First one was a 7.1 or 7.2 magnitude, woke me in the morning, shaking the house. The epicenter was in the neighboring province of Bohol, but most of the deaths and damage is here in Cebu. Death toll is nearing 100 now and injuries nearing 200 as of now.

Many more quakes and aftershocks (around 20), and still happening now more than 12 hours later.

Our house was pretty shaken several times today (and the concrete in the front is now cracked) but thank God we're okay.

Malls are closed. In face a couple of the malls we go to were damaged.

We sent our son to the mall supermarket for groceries but it was closed. So he went further down the highway to a supermarket, but as he entered there was another quake and the doors came loose, so we kinda gave up on buying groceries today. Street vendors (for fruits and whatever also closed).

I didn't make this video.. just a video I found on YouTube that someone here in Cebu made today.

It's only 2 min long and it gives a good sample of the damage.

How about you guys? Do take care!

Thank God it's a holiday today because things could have been worse. And also im really grateful that i dont have duty today because I might get bonkers evacuating my patients. @_@

I'm in Cagayan de Oro and we felt the quake too.

Electric posts in the street were shaking, but the quake was not as strong as in Bohol or Cebu.

Glad to know that you guys are alright.

Let's continue praying. Thanking God for safety and upholding those who are adversely affected.. Or grieving. God bless the Philippines.

Wow, that is a power earthquake. I have lived in LA most of my life and never experienced a 7.0 or greater. They might downgrade it a couple of points as they go through the data, but still that is a big one.

according to the news the other day, there were already more than 2,000 aftershocks recorded after the major quake. let's continue to hold the boholanos in our prayers as they are still experiencing aftershocks. may God's comfort sustain them in this ordeal.
