I've been reading the men/ women threads lately. After watching a documentary about penguins I've cone to the conclusion that penguins have it harder then any man or woman. So when you're having a bad day,think of all those poor male penguins holding eggs between their legs and huddling together for warmth. And the female penguins searching for food dodging predators so they can feed their families. You'll be so glad you're you and not a penguin.
 
Yes, penguins (I assume you mean the antarctic ones) have it the worst I'd say. If any domestic creature on earth were treated in the conditions of penguins, it would be considered the worst kind of animal cruelty.
The dads have to face terrible cold winds to keep an egg that may or may not survive alive, going 6 MONTHS without food, while the moms are off dodging leopard seals and trying to catch enough fish to stay alive and feed their families with later as delicious fish barf.

I'm glad I'm not a penguin. :P
 
Well that is bad. Guys be glad you're not a preying mantis. Be happy you're a praying guy.:p
 
LOL..I'm just glad I'm single!...no eggs to guard...no being eaten after mating,and best still...no crazy documentaries made about me. ;)

"Wait... you're not gettin off that easy, I need you to help out around here."

misscris can I have some? I only got back church at 11pm (its now nearly 1am) an I didn't get any dinner.

Sure, it's homemade pizza night. It's one of the precious few meals I (almost) never ruin.
 
yum I like pizza, I also like penguins but not to eat. I feel bad for penguins cuz they can't fly. they must look at the other birds in the sky and think...I have all the same equipment so why does mine not work?
 
You know who has it easiest?

Bears.

They get to sleep for oh so many months, females deliver babies in their sleep (so I've heard). The males expect you to be fat and hairy, and they expect you to not be fond of mornings. :p

Interestingly enough, in some cases this is more than a joke, and goes both ways.
 
This made me think of the movie Happy Feet where the penguins sing and tap dance, it was cute and funny. Especially Robin William's character Ramon

Human males would never hold eggs and huddle together for warmth - they'd die first.

I guess if it gets really cold out, we're doomed.
