Some advice. Please

So... im 15. I would like to be saved. My father is saved. I have a mother and a sister. They arent saved. I get nervous when i try to talk to him about being saved. I get nervous about a lot of thigns. But anyways... Just... with the bombings and stuff... He talks about the bible saying this would happen. That it will get to the point so we cant even go outside. I am really starting to get scared... As i know that since im not saved but i do believe i not go
ing to heaven... Can someone please help me get saved? Or give me some advice on how to ask my father about it.

While i am unsure if this is what you are looking for, if you are then ...Please humble your heart and pray along dear friend.

Dear father that you are in heaven, i thank you for the great sacrifice you did for us, for you have given us hope when all hope was taken from us... you have taken that which is holy, and placed all of our sins on it, and washed them away. Through your resurrection you have defeated that which binds us, you have allowed me to be born again... i ask that you please take my heart, cleanse it and let the holy spirit descend upon me... i accept you into my heart as my Savior, My God, and my Redeemer. Be the light in my life and shine through me, let the holy spirit flow through me by your Will and please God wash away all my sins... in the name of Your Beloved Son Jesus Christ. Amen!!

We thank you Lord for accepting our dear brother's soul and we rejoice for he wishes to have you in his heart and in his life. Let there be Joy for another soul has searched and found you father, we thank you for your great sacrifice for we are free and can obtain eternal life with you Dear Lord.

This is my first time doing this through the web, but hey, there never a wrong way to accept Jesus when we have an open heart for him right? :) God Bless Your soul my dear brother in Christ.

Being saved is first understanding a few things, and acknowledging them as true.
That you are a sinner that needs to be saved.
That Jesus is the only way to salvation, and the only way to God.
That Jesus died on the cross for your sins, and was resurrected on the 3rd day.
That you genuinely want to be saved.

If all of that is what you believe, then just simply pray and admit those things to God and ask Jesus to come into your life and your heart. There is no specific wording, just the acknowledgment and understanding of those points.

Be aware being saved has some things come with it, and maybe not some things you expect.
Being saved does NOT mean you have no more troubles, struggles or bad times.
Being saved does not mean you will become perfect and never sin or make mistakes again.
Being saved does not make God your genie that you can pray for everything you want and He just gives it to you.
Being saved means reading and accepting the truths in the bible, even if it means going against your opinions or personal beliefs. This isn't to say follow blindly. Its ok to ask why. To try to understand the reasoning.
Being saved means you will have a desire to follow God and obey His words from the bible, not because you have to 'follow the rules' but because you have a desire within you to do right and please God.
Being saved means you now have a relationship with God you were never able to have before. And just like any relationship you have to work on it. This means talking to God regularly (praying). And listening to God regularly (reading the bible). Thinking about God and His word. Not constantly, but when you have friends its natural to sometimes think of them, worry about them, wonder about them, or whatever. Same with God.

Some of these things may take time to learn or feel. Some people get saved and have dramatic changes in their lives or thinking, and some it is more gradual. So if you don't feel these things right away, don't worry. It may seem intimidating, but really its not. Once you choose to follow God, and are sincere, many of these things start falling into place without you trying to. So don't try to force yourself to anything. Being a Christian is like anything else, it takes time to grow. I've been a Christian since i was 14, i'm 37 now and i'm still learning and growing. But its good, and can be fun sometimes.

Getting saved is easy, and I'm sure your dad will tell you almost word for word the same thing I'm going to say. You have to decide that life the way you are choosing to live it, is not working for you; that you want to give up your plan, and follow Jesus instead. If you decide that, all you have to do is say to God, "I want to follow Jesus from now on". Most people use words like "come into my heart, Jesus, and be my Lord (that word is like leader/boss)", but it's the intention, not the words that do it. That's what we call getting saved. God will do the rest. Of course, since you are lucky enough to have a saved father, he can guide you to some things that will help you know Jesus' plan better, and follow Him more closely, things like prayer, church, Scripture reading, and applying these things to learn to lead the life the Lord wants you to have. i'm sure if he hears that you want to get saved, and asked about it at a chat room, he will be very happy for your choice. You'll learn soon after, as you start reading about what Jesus teaches, that in the Bible we find that when anyone gets saved, the angels like throw a party. Jesus says there is much joy in heaven each time. So we all are very happy too, whenever someone gets saved.

You guys are great. I am very grateful to be able to get such good advice. I read all the post and i feel great. I am no longer as scared as i was. I have hope. Thank you very much. I wish i could explain how much all of you helped me :). But, before i talk to my father... How should i start the conversation?
 
Big question, how much of this do you want to be your decision, and not your dad's? Hint from my life's experience: the more it is your decision, the longer you are likely to stay faithful to Jesus. Remember you will leave home in a few years, and your dad will probably die before you do, so he won't be there for most of your adult life, except in the background. Now, you could ask his help, like "hey dad, I've been going online and talking to some people, and Id like to know Jesus and have Him as my savior. Can you help me?" But if it were me, I'd get saved first, and then tell my dad, "Hey, dad, I asked Jesus into my heart. Can you help me connect with other believers?". That way, my dad and everyone at the church would know it was my own choice.

Ok, ok. So I should get saved first. Alright. So do this should i just keep praying and reading the bible? pray before i go to bed and when i wake up? When should i read the bible? Before i go to bed? (I'm sorry if i am taking up your time)

Precious girl!! you have a loving heart, i sense you wish to honour and love your father. God loves you so much and wants you to know Him and he tells us that we are to honour our father & mother. I think you should talk to your father, share with him how you feel, what you are thinking...wanting...You do need to learn what accepting Christ means, it is not a simple sentence spoken aloud that 'makes you safe' . Have you got a Bible? becoming a Christian , a saved, secure eternally living Christian is really very simple. You need to understand your sinfulness and your need for the death, on the cross, Christs death, blood shed for us...His grace. Can you talk this through with your father? are you in a church as a family?
You need to want this...not because of your family, socially etc but because you are convicted in your heart...are you? why are you wanting this? God Bless you, <><
 
You want to be saved.. that is not so hard!! and no, you are not taking up our time, i know we all here have all ther time in the 'world' for those who genuinely seek Christ. Do you seek Christ, do you know who He is? <><

Praying: God and I are talking almost constantly in the back of my head. He's your best friend. Keep it that way.

Reading the Bible: It's good to have a guide in the beginning, like the sermons in church. Just opening at random works, or going in order works. Most people like to start with the Gospel of John, but it doesn't really matter. Ask the question like this: if you wanted to become a master chef, when would you read your cookbook? If you wanted to be a master carpenter, when would you read the carpentry manual? Whatever answer you give for that question, is when you should read your Bible. You'll be surprised how much God will personally tell you, because everyone is different, and he knows each of us better than we know ourselves. Parts of the bible can be hard to understand; that's another reason to have a guide in the beginning.
 
Bad times are coming. I don't know when, but we are getting closer. This storm that is coming is God's wrath on those who do evil. Christians who have a sure foundation on the Rock, have nothing to fear. God will feed us if food becomes scarce. God will protect us from His wrath. Don't fear what will happen in the future. Fear going to hell and being separated from God, forever. Now that is terrifying.
 
Thank you all for your help. I wish i could tell you how much this has helped me and how much this means for me. I plan to ask more questions in the future. Also, i thought id share my name with you. It's easy to be saved! Just tell God you are sorry for your sin, and want him to come into your life and make you clean. Ask God to fill you to overflowing with the Holy Spirit! (He will do it)
After you take this step, you need to find a good bible church to go to every week and begin reading your bible. I would recommend you start in John.
