"Taboo" - my friends and I love playing that game, and it is both intellectually challenging and hilarious at the same time!!!

I really want to try Settler's of Catan. I loved Life, Monopoly, Clue, Othello, Sorry, and probably a few others I can't think of.

By the way, did anyone participate this past March in "Table Top Day"? I wanted to, but there was nothing set up near me.

I love settlers of catan. I like how the board always changes, so every game is different.

Not a whole lot of people here know this, but I'm kind of a board game enthusiast. Board games get a really bad rep because of the awful ones people had to play as kids that lacked any sort of strategy, like Shoots & Ladders, Battleship, Candyland, Trouble, etc. A few years ago I discovered that there are entire board gaming communities that play brand new board games that are a ton of fun. There is a store in my town that only sells board games, and there are always at least 10 people there playing in their game room. And I guarantee you that none of them are ever there playing Monopoly or Uno.

My favorites right now (kudos if you've even heard of any of these. They are all fantastic though!):
Betrayal at House of the Hill
Dominion
Pandemic
Red November
Formula D
Castle Panic
Last Night on Earth
X-Wing Miniatures
Cosmic Encounter
Heroscape
Smallworld

By the way, if you ever want info on any board game, or want to delve into the awesomeness that is board gaming, check out BoardGameGeek | Gaming Unplugged Since 2000

I love card games and board games! I play card games more often than board games, but I do like chess and Clue. I tend to be bad at strategy games such as Risk and Settlers of Catan. It's not that I don't enjoy thinking, because I really do, I'm just not good at it when it comes to those games. :p Of card games, I'd say I like SkipBo and Nertz the most. :D I also enjoy Egyptian Rat Slap (that goes by many different names, but it's a fast paced game where you slap pairs and stuff, like a more complicated version of Slap Jack). I'm better at fast paced games because my hands are fast. I can shuffle fast, deal fast, count fast, etc.

Uno was fun when I was a kid (still is but I haven't played it in forever), but I saw this and thought it was quite accurate (in jest, of course). :p

This one...

Hijara_game_GATCO.jpg

And Scrabble. But nobody will play it with me because...I can spell big words that nobody would ever use in a conversation.

OH! And The Game of Things, with the right people.
