Ugh. So, I hadn't gone to a salon to get my hair cut in...years. Not since I was 17, and chopped ALL my hair off. So I thought it would be kind of a treat to have somebody else cut my hair for a change, and made an appointment and specifically requested somebody with a lot of experience cutting curly hair. The receptionist said "No problem, I'll set you up with Shey" and I was all, "Cool."

NOT. COOL.

That awkward moment when your hair stylist is so obviously brand new and incompetent that you end up taking. The. Scissors. out of her hand and sitting in the chair and CUTTING YOUR OWN HAIR.

And then you still pay for the hair cut.

*sigh*

The memory of the awkward moment when you found out you failed .... (are ready for it? Are you sure?) ... Typing class. Yeah, I didn't pay attention to the details that said we had to turn in all exercises. Oh well, I passed the next semester for sure.

I never took a typing class, I've just been a chatroom nerd for so long that I've become quite proficient at it. hehe

It was a required class. Anyone who wanted to use the computers on campus had to take typing and computers

Who said I was feeling better? You just said not to mention my sickness anymore, so I was refraining. I might actually be dying in a hospital right now.

No, I'm not in the hospital. I'm still a bit sickly but I'm feeling much better. If I need the soup though, I'll make sure to give you a three day heads up.

@95, my grandfather had some serous arthritis. Knees, hands, all the places you'd expect for someone who is Ninety Five.
What you didn't expect is that he had an electric typewriter and could still bang out better than 60CWPM! He accomplished this by grasping two fresh, unused pencils, one in each hand, eraser end down... he's Always been a two finger typer so it was not that big of an adjustment for him.
He also always carried a pair of needle-nose pliers in his pocket at all times... it meant that he could always get his own zipper no matter what bathroom he used. I'm SO going to remember that when I get old... should save me a few awkward moments.

Wow! I feel for you MissCris. I've actually started to cut my own hair because I actually do a better job than most of the hair stylists I've been to and it saves me money. My hair isn't easy to cut either. Its a taper cut (long on top and short on sides and back, blended - you can kind of see it in my profile pic).

That awkward moment when you actually have to borrow a cup of sugar from your neighbor.

And your neighbor is pretty up there in years, and mostly deaf, so you're yelling at them.

But!! Now I've got a banana cake baking in the oven (as opposed to...the...closet?), and it smells good. So, win.

That awkward moment when you hear a song and think it's an awesome song! But you read the title and it says it's a nursery rhyme, so you listen to it again, only to find out that it is indeed a nursery rhyme, but someone made a remix of it and made it an EPIC nursery rhyme.
