Lets see...I am learning the piano, taking vocal lessons, going to the fitness center when I can, I wonder if creating a comic book would be too overwhelming...right now its been stirring in my mind to make a comic book, but I have writers block on the story part, my hands itching to draw. There are so many elements and themes I could go with but I'm not sure how I want to approach this project... It is a project I feel I have to start and finish... *sigh*

O_O sounds like an idea. Thanks. I don't know why it seems easier to write a poem. I love to draw though. i think it will be philosophical in a way, in both art and story, but I also want it to be impressive. I hope I don't shoot to high with this project and overwhelm myself.

Ooh are you artistically inclined? I took a couple art classes in high school but I threw my art out a few months ago. But shoot high anyway! You can totally do it. :D

Oh I've always loved art ever since I was little, just never pursued it, I took some college classes in art. I was one of those kids that tried everything but couldn't decide where i fit. I think I lean toward drawing only because when I had no way of getting angry because I was too afraid, I would draw. Drawing was a good therapy for me growing up. Which is why I tend to be a more peaceful person then the people around me. I sort of disciplined myself that way. I haven't drawn anything in a long time, I mean I can still draw cartoons but I lost my love for anything I did for awhile, because of depression. I feel like I'm getting it all back.
My only real problem would be finishing this project.. but I must! :p

Well your gifts never leave you, they always come out sooner or later if you really need them. Thanks! I'm just going through my old poems, and seeing if there are a couple I can dissect so you can get a feel of their life essence. lol Xp yeah I should stop talking and get to work. Xp

Well hop to it, then! I want to see a cartoon of PopClick winning her fashion contest! And rescinding the legislation in the Fish and Game code that prohibits ferrets here in CA.

*sigh* I am hesitant to use my poems especially the "love poems" in my comic, only because I wrote them for the person I love, I feel like it would be hypocritical and that I would exploiting what we shared. I feel guilt, like if I profited on his heart and my own, I guess I am being too literal when it comes to the rules of what is okay and what is not... I'm not sure.

I am too literal with the rules, but I think I am going to go ahead and put them into my comic anyway, they do have a special meaning and their own life to them.

Do you guys think I am too literal by keeping these things to myself and not profiting on them? I don't want to do it if it makes him feel used...I don't know.. maybe he won't care or mind..

I guess that is something that has tormented me my whole life, my ideal of being humble, will I stop being humble if I do something like this?

They're the closest things to ferrets! My first choice would have been a ferret, but... :p on CA.

Thank ya! I'd like to see that, too... maybe the judges will be more impressed than they were last time. And ferrets are great. I'd love it if they were legalized everywhere.

I think it would be okay, if you touch on general thoughts and feelings, and aren't too specific. I really don't see anything wrong with that. It's how so many great songs and poems were written!

I wish you all the best, proud of you my friend. LOL I don't know why people don't just legalize them, they should.
I think it would be okay, if you touch on general thoughts and feelings, and aren't too specific. I really don't see anything wrong with that. It's how so many great songs and poems were written!

@ lovesong poetry: I´d said many songs of Journey look like poetry to me, specially when I tried to sing like Steve Perry. Beside this, I don´t know if my nickname (secularhermit) deserves anything on the many issues I have published a word on the internet and on blogger.com, but I believe one,at least, may serve as long song/ poetry once I have someone who liked my feelings there.

From Journey I consider most of them are love songs. From me (secularhermit´s blogs) some or one will leak in here if I know the mood that will be sought: Joy, sadness, bitterness when being cheated?

Well you are welcome to share whatever's on your mind here, we are always posting poems and song lyrics, if the song relates to us in some way..or we just like them. ;)

rants, raves, or we just tend to goof off. I sometimes share my artwork too.

Yep, the first round was bad. In fact, it was terrible. I've got two more chances coming up, though.

don't give up on your dreams, don't be disheartened, because all good things come from the Lord,
If he put this in your heart he will bring you through, and it will be even better than you imagined.

Remember to go back to the stories of Esther, Joseph, Moses, they had the favor of God on their lives. They had God on their side, If God be for you, who can be against you. His favor is upon you. :D

Thanks! :) I know it's not a big deal on the scope of things, but it's hard not to be a little disappointed, you know? Maybe I'll do better in the next round, and maybe I won't. But I had fun trying. :D

I'm also a little stuck between spending a lot of time on each piece, trying to get it exactly the way I want it (which may not be what the judges like), or using a throw-mud-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks approach.

That is cool that you design!

It's a big deal because you put your hard work into your outfits, and they get judged by people who think they know what fashion really is...That's this world for you...

the only thing about the world is..they will never be satisfied with what they get because nothing that comes out of the world ever really satisfies, nothing ever lasts, it only lasts for a moments time..

You got to remember that God is eternal, and God is good, and everything that comes from the Lord is good. When we go to God for anything it does satisfy because he is the only one who can satisfy our hearts..

You can be assured that God blesses everything you set your hand to because you are his daughter.
When you win, it is going to be a blessed win in more ways than one, and God won't stop there, he will keep on blessing you, for your obedience and because you love him.

Don't define yourself by what this world says about you or your art, define it by what God says about you in his word.
You are worth so much to Your Father Your work is worth so much to God. Everything you do he is right there with you, saying. "This one is mine, and everything that comes from her is the best!" You already won in his eyes, because you chose him, you love him, and he loves you. He makes sure everyone knows it, even the angels. He knows everything about you.

You are welcome! Just ask God for some motivation and creative ideas, he wants to be apart of every aspect of your life, you are that important to him. :D
