Hey everyone, I originally posted this in the Ladies forum, but I wanted to also post it here for two reasons: 1. In case some ladies missed it, and 2. Cause I think it's a good thing for the guys to listen to as well, it may help them understand why we do some of what we do lol. Basically the link is to a podcast by Focus On The Family. A guest speaker who is an author is talking about why women want a husband and about a real true love marriage, not the type of love that the world has created. lol @ Max. Gosh ...focus on the family???? I didn't think that even existed anymore.I remember having to watch episodes of that when our pastor couldn't think of anything to preach about durring mid-week service. lol Yawnsville...then & now,as I never wanted a family & no christian woman ever thought I was good enough for her or her white picket fence dreams. LOL ohhh man I sound bitter..I'm not,srsly...I'm not.

Haha, not at all. The second one actually gives a lot of advice for single men.

@iTOREtheSky it is not boring at all, but very helpful. I really believe it will help some people strengthen their walk with God. That is why I posted it.

I think when the student is ready.. The teacher will come .. I remember when I wasn't ready I vomited all
Over people .. and violently.. it's really a great program., however I can remember telling my radio "oh shut up" With a violent twist that probably loosened the knob .. my nerves were pretty sensitive back then .. Thanks for posting it.. I think it's a great tool!
 
I'm sorry...seriously. Sometimes I just have flashbacks of my old church days of things I guess tick me off...I shouldn't act out...I am sorry Blue.:(
 
I used to listen to Focus on the Family regularly. I'm just not fan. I just feel like they pigeon hole men and women into certain behaviors. Like "They have to behave like this, and act like this, and do this, because that's the traditional way and everything else is unbiblical." I have no problem with traditional views on things, but we're getting to a point where people are changing and the world is changing and an open mind is needed. Just because it's not traditional doesn't mean it's not biblical. That's just my opinion.

Yes,I guess that's how I feel too..but I act mean & rude & don't have the eloquence you do bro...ty for summing up how I feel w/out being a jerk like me.
 
I'm not a huge fan of Focus on the Family either. For reasons that are in my brain and I don't know how to get them out. Someone tell me how to get them onto the shiny rectangle in front of me.


Arrested Development is on. This makes me happy.
 
Personally, I never try to pigeon hole women.
I don't think they belong in some tiny little box, with tiny little rules.

Heck, I don't care if a woman spends her whole day in the kitchen, or if she just spends MOST of her day in the kitchen.
I'm perfectly loose either way.

Wow, you're really open minded. Where do you stand on the issue of wearing shoes or socks while in the kitchen?

I believe women should be liberated.

I think they should have freedom to make all kinds of different things in the kitchen!

It's midnight here and I'm going to fall asleep if I listen to much more of the link, so I'm stopping now. One thing I do like is her question as to why it is necessary for women to emasculate men in order to show strength. Women can be strong without bashing/controlling/emasculating/bullying men. Be strong for who YOU are and who you are in Christ. Don't try to prop yourself up on the carcass of someone else. That's a house built upon the sand.
 
I can say for a fact that no woman has ever been violently attracted to me.
