Creed were not really a Christian band. They had religious tones to their music, but if you look at My Own Prison album, in one song he's talking about the cross, and in another song he uses God d*** repeatedly. The singer quit eventually and apparently had a bad time at first, in lots of junk. Then he 'got right with God' and released a solo album sold in a lot of Christian stores, until he got pulled over for DUI and started getting into junk again. I haven't heard about him since.
The rest of the guys stuck together, got a new singer and changed the name to Alter Bridge. Its somewhat popular among Christians, as well, but not sure how 'Christian' it really is.
That being said, i do enjoy some of their music, still.
Also i'm assuming you meant 1990's Creed from America, not the 1980's Christian band Creed from Germany...

Whitecross & Stryper are the two best Christian Metal Bands ever !!! They a Rock :D N ROLL
 
I mean I listen mostly to these two bands. Should check out other Christian metal bands ;) I listen to Petra too :)
 
They were good, but best is debatable. I only liked one Whitecross album though, Triumphant Return
 
I listen to these two bands in my repertoire of music when it comes to Christian metal. I like their songs. I agree with you on that one :) It could be debated as you say.
 
I've heard of Triumphant Return. I've only listened to whitecross singles like He is the Rock, Gonna keep on, In his hands.
 
I know Altar Bridge has played at a few churches in my area. I've noticed one or two minor swear words in a song, nothing to have heards over though

It is...but use yer' imagination silly. sheesh.LOL Getting back to Whitecross. I think the only cd I owned & really liked by them was In The Kingdom. Which of course is impossible to find anywhere it seems.
 
I think the new heathen neighbors moving in above me need to hear some WHITECROSS ON 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL..yanno what? I think it was just some people in to clean the apartment,but they were so noisy up there for 2 days is a row I assumed it was new peeps moving in,but no signs of life since. I have no idea if they enjoyed it,but I'm sure they heard it. LOL They got edified without realizing it. :cool:

I have a feeling its suspicions, like it list several times in the article. Atleast thats what I hope.
 
Yeah, but then again, his views on God and religion seemed to have gotten out of whack as well. It was a little surprising, but ever since he did that other band, umm... gosh, i can't think of anything i'm trying to remember tonight... oh, Austrian Death Machine... i just got a funny vibe about him. And then recently seeing he got all un-biblical, its not a huge surprise he got tangled up in something. Surprised it's this bad, but still not surprised totally.
