The fact we can't discuss Disney movies without some lunatics coming in and spouting off nonsense about the being satanic and brainwashing is terrible. Some christians just cant let people enjoy angrily.
If you are a Christian, do you seriously think it is appropriate to call people names? Think about the GOLDEN RULE: Treat others the way you would like others to treat you! As well as....What Would Jesus Do? Do you think Jesus stands back and calls people names? I must agree with the person that called this behavior rude, it is and it is not a christ-like thing for a Christian to be doing. Please stop and think before you say such things, I am sure you would not like it if someone called you that? I don't know if you are aware, but when you say such things, it reveals to everyone your true character and what lies in your heart.
I have seen a few of your posts on other threads and I must say that I find that most of the time you have nothing nice to say to anyone (and you are not the only one). Perhaps you need to work on your communication skills or some online etiquette. What is the other old and wise saying?...If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Or if one must, take responsibility for our words and actions and make sure when we have something negative to say, we do so with a little more tact and with love.
And I am not just saying this to you but reminding us all as well. And I know sometimes I need to be reminded as well, at times there are subjects that are very passionate to me and at times I can say things the wrong way and not realize how they may sound or may come across to others. I have been trying hard to think about how I talk to another about something negative but to do so lovingly and to try to be up beat. We all say things some times that come out a little wrong, and then there are some that do so just to stir the fire. So lets all try to watch how we talk to our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please
I realize I've opened a can of worms, but do you really think a you tube video some person I've never heard of is going to change my mind about anything?
Please think for yourselves and stop using you tube to guide you in life.
Sorry to sound harsh, I feel bad for the OP of this thread.
I was going to say almost the same thing when the video was posted. I wasn't about to waste my time watching it. I figured it was a man-made video with only man-made views and opinions to back up a theory. I don't believe everything that is shown to me especially through youtube. This is where discernment comes in. And one has to make a wise decision, you can either believe everything that comes down the pike or use the Holy Spirit, discernment, and good judgement and prayer to decide what sounds logical and right and what does not.
I have been around for 47 years and grew up watching The Peanuts, Disney and Looney Tunes, and this is the first I have ever heard of all this stuff being said. As far as I know, I am not brainwashed...I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and very grounded in the Christian faith. I may still have a long ways to go yet and things to learn, but I am also better off than some others.
I agree that yes, Satan will use
anything and
anyone to destroy what Christ is doing. And yes, Satan will also use people even on here as a means to do so, because of this being a place where Christians gather to fellowship, get encouragement and to help strengthen their faith and their walk. So YES, Satan is also alive and well on CC. Again, this is where we as Christians will be able to use our discernment to know what is of God and what is not.
A persons fruit (their choice of words, actions, deeds, thoughts, how they react, etc.) will all be signs of whether they are speaking with the Holy Spirit or of Satan trying to discourage and derail a fellow Christian. Satan thrives on seeing Christians going at each other, so he will do whatever he can to keep things stirred up.
This is why it is so important for us to watch ourselves and our words, what we say and how we say it. We are to build one another up, not tear each other down. Every time we name call or belittle our fellow Christian we are just giving way to Satan and giving him more power to use against us.
Please, let us all watch what we say to one another. And I do apologize if I too at some point may have come across too harshly, but some times one does have to be stern to get their point across, but I hope I have always done so out of love. I am not here to stir up trouble or put anyone down, just trying to remind us all the affects our words can have on others and the responsibilities that we carry with us as Christians. Remember our testimonies are always at stake whenever we open our mouths or do something.
We all mess up from time to time, the important thing is that we try to understand each other, forgive each other and get along.
God bless you all greatly
