Apocalypse, you have a terminal disease. The disease will DEFINITELY take your life. If I say to you I have the ONLY cure that works 100% of the time, and all you have to do to be cured is take my pill, and you don't believe me and cast aside the pill, what else could i do to help you?

Well, your soul and my soul, and EVEYONES soul has a disease. Without a cure our soul will die which will result in eternal separation from God. Which is hell. Our disease is called SIN, but God has offered HIMSELF as the cure.Numbers 21:9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. John 3:14&15 "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him."

The text doesn't say it, but It's likely there were Israelites who were dying of the snake bites who said "This is foolishness, I'll be damned if I look at that stupid pole with a snake on it, that can't possibly cure me!" And they died. Just like there are many who say the Gospel is foolishness. They won't take the cure right in their grasp. And they will Spiritually die. YOU have the opportunity RIGHT NOW to take the cure. I pray in Jesus name that you will! You are not here by chance. Jesus is knocking!!! Invite him in. May God bless you.

1) I no longer believe in free will, but I agree with most of the rest of your answer. God created evil and subjects us to it to humble us. Without darkness, we would not appreciate light, and without evil, we would not appreciate good. "Former of light and Creator of darkness, Maker of good and Creator of evil. I, Yahweh Elohim, made all of these things." (Isaiah 45:7) "It is an experience of evil Elohim has given to the sons of humanity to humble them by it." (Ecclesiastes 1:13)
2) To know evil is to experience sin and death.
3) At least the atheist seems to understand that the universe is a complex design, but the atheist is blind to the fact that there is a source of that which we call God. That is only because God has not revealed this to the atheist. There is no sense trying to debate the logic of faith in God with the atheist because the atheist's faith is that there is no God. The word faith comes from the Greek "pistis" which means "belief." "Faith is an assumption of what is being expected, a conviction concerning matters which are not being observed." (Hebrews 11:1) "For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God's approach present, not of works, lest anyone should be boasting." (Ephesians 2:8,9)
4) God "is operating all in accord with the counsel of His will." (Ephesians 1:11) The tradition of man has corrupted the word of God. That's why it is so important to read an accurate translation of the ancient manuscripts to know the truth. The only begotten son of God died on the cross, not God.
5) Adam and Eve is not a parable. We inherited sin from them. "Yet now Christ has been roused from among the dead, the Firstfruit of those who are reposing. For since, in fact, through a man came death, through a Man, also, comes the resurrection of the dead. For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified. Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; thereupon those who are Christ's in His presence; thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and all authority and power. For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy is being abolished: death. For He subjects all under His feet. Now whenever He may be saying that all is subject, it is evident that it is outside of Him Who subjects all to Him. Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all." (1 Corinthians 15:20-28)

Humanity had roughly 200,000 years to get it right and they failed. Jesus loved us so He gave his life to redeem us from extinction. Who knows why He did, but he did. So, since he died for us through Him is salvation.

Who would you prefer besides Jesus?
But God is omniscient couldn't he see that this would happen? Why not just send Jesus down from the getgo?

Why are you concerned with the timeline of His death and resurrection?

Adam is Eve is a parable. Why would God make us suffer for sins we didn't commit because 2 other people commited them? That is really unfair. It's like you having to go to jail for life because your father committed a murder.

The Bible even says that " all men sinned," Romans 5:13

So all of mankind sinned at some point in time; thus we are not being penalized by just Adam or Eve's sin.

The " Man " in which life comes through, is Christ, because only God can give us life. Death came to all the same way it came to Adam, because Adam sinned; thus is death came through sin, then came to all because all sinned.

Yes, the word of God has been corrupted by mankind's traditions; so then why is it that we continue to follow them? Are really that many Christians unaware? I guess so, as the Bible does say the path to salvation is narrow, whilst the one to destruction is broad and many are on it.

The notion here whether or not who is understanding what God is really saying in the Bible and who is not; everyone has their own idea of God's word; even the Pope and pastors - so then how do we know for sure whom is correct?

Is this why Jesus said another Counselor would have to come to remind us of all things in the book of John? How else are we to know the truth of God if it has been lost?

Lol and yes, some atheist are so confined in their own humanity that they cannot try to understand; but there are a good few who actually consider God, and if there is ever proof they are eager to believe.

That's all good information, thanks for posting.

Most atheists tend to be far less studied in their methods of bewildering young Christians. So they ask much more basic questions.

The most common ones I hear are:

1. If God is so good, why does he allow evil in the world

2. If God is so loving, why does he send people to hell.

3. What makes you think the bible is true? It's just a bunch of dusty old fairy tales.

4. What kind of idiot can disagree with evolution? Science has proven it.

5. Since religion is based on faith, not evidence, then what makes your religion any more true than any other religion?

BTW... all of these questions can be pretty easily dealt with.
Actually if these questions were easily dealt with, they wouldn't be causing a lot of christian youth's to rebuke Christianity. They're actually kind of necessary because they hit on some strong points in the fact that Christianity is being turned into this subjective philosophy, in which there is no truth of God.

Good question. The answer has to do with the fact that, while salvation is through Jesus, that doesn't preclude others from being saved. King David knew of Jesus, even though He hadn't come to Earth yet. :)

very true maxwell. and arguments never truly benefit anything.
see we should be able to discern who is willing to listen and believe and those who already have answers and are trying to just waste your time. with discernment,
Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
The problem is, is that some of the members of my church ask me these questions too, because they aren't sure you know? So what? are they swine? But they are christians too...?

Also,

Not all atheist are " swine" either; some of them really want to believe and follow God, but are in a stump because they aren't sure what makes the Bible true or what makes God true for that matter.

Here's one:

Why is the only way to be saved through Christ - who appeared +/- 2,000 years ago - when humanity has been around for roughly 200,000 years?
it was prophesied this way form the day of Adam and Eve fell
[h=3]Genesis 3:15[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]15 [/SUP]And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

Our restoration and when he rose he went and preached to the Spirits held in prison and those that bel;ieved in him were set free to go with him and he took captivity captive. Manm has thus made it so hard as man continued to do even Job who went through much tribulation stayed steadfast on inFaith, trust, as Abraham did, Noah did and many other Saints did anddo today the just shall live by Faith

[h=3]Romans 1:17[/h]New International Version (NIV)

[SUP]17 [/SUP]For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

The Word states that anyone that believes that God does not exist is a “fool”. Once identified as a fool, no sane person will attempt to reason with such an individual. Walk away.

When alleged atheists ask a question concerning the existence of God, it suggests that they are agnostic in belief rather than atheist. Under these circumstances, I accept spiritual dialogue and I am not being snobbish, just selective concerning my faith in Jesus and with whom I choose to fellowship.

As a Christian speaking to self-proclaimed atheists, these are my responses to the types of questions your thread proposes:

1.) Why would God place a forbidden tree in the garden so close to his innocent creation and allow Satan to tempt them into eating from it, all the while looking on without doing a thing to prevent it?

The story of the Garden of Eden claims there was a tree in the midst of the Garden that they were to neither eat the fruit nor touch it. It never said that God planted the tree or put it there.

2.)Since Adam and Eve didn’t know right from wrong before eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, why did God then punish them for something they didn’t understand they were doing?

According to the ancient documents of this story, the non-existent God saved them from dying.
God does not exist so how could Adam and Eve exist. If they did, something they chose to do, result in negative effects upon their utopian existence. Maybe the fruit was poison and damaged their metabolism.

3.)If every complex design requires a designer, who designed God?

God doesn’t exist remember, so there isn’t any designer

4.)The Bible tells us that God isn’t willing that anybody should perish (2 Peter 3:9), but his holy word has been corrupted through the ages by mankind, so doesn’t that mean that God either allowed it to be corrupted, or he was unable to keep it from being corrupted?

You as an individual and all humanity do as their free-will deternines. What does God have to do with how humans choses to live.

5.)If God is all-just, why does he punish/kill massive amounts of people throughout the Bible for the sins of one?

To an atheist, there is no God. No creator and based on that premise, God did nothing, man killed man.
Depending on the personality of the individual these conclusions are expressed:

“The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good”.—Psalm 14:1

Psalms gives the nature of an Atheist. They have total disregard for God or the acknowledgment of God's existence. The Bible is clear, "from such turn away."

“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”—Matthew 7:6

“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.”—1 Corinthians 16:22

“As Christians we owe no kingdom spiritual courtesies to true atheists”; Livingepistle.
well put livingepistle,
How about asking the Atheist
since there is no God and we all see this world here in front of us, that there is a lot to learn yes? Now through out your lifetime here on earth before you die as all do someday, can you know everything there is to know?
Okay so out of 100% to know everything there is to know can you say since you are very intelligent would say 20% you could know this much yes?
And I said yes and thank you for the cudos. Then I heard out of that 20% that I know there is another 80% of knowledge right?
I said yes and then this person in that other 80% how can you know their is no God? and he walked, and today I know that God does exist and does love us all regardless of how we act, and is just waiting for us to respond to this love that he has provided to us through the death, and resurrection by Faith in trusting God just as Jesus trusted God. This fact of trust by christ can't be refuted it is history and man knows this for man divided this world by the cross in the calandar. Before the cross and after the cross, all mankind knows the truth and is without excuse, read romans 1-5 it is all there

I disagree tha tGod created evil
1 John 1:5[ Fellowship with Him and One Another ] This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

Lucifer a bright and Shiniing Angel made the choice through pride by free choice and fell, and took many that he had already decieved with him. How sad that Lucifer tried to tajke te glory of Godwhen it was God's light that shined throiugh him. Just as today man knowing Good and evil as Lucifer knew butchose to do evil by masquerading evil as good to fool others and is going on today in andby mankind faking goodness when there is none good except GOD and we are to trust in God for this not try to create this.

But God is omniscient couldn't he see that this would happen? Why not just send Jesus down from the getgo?
Because Lucifer heard the prediction Genesis 3:15 and got Cain to kill Abel thinking Abel might be the promised one and then the lineage went onto Seth and to Noah then to Abraham then tothe twelve then the Priests the Levitical Priesthood and by then the devil very confused to who was the prediction to. And then when the Savior was born the Devil suggested that Herod stop this Savior and Herod acceptedthis thought and killed allthe babies two years old and under to stop the Messiah from redeeming mankind.
By this time over all these years the devil got very confused as to was this Messiah to be and from which tribe shall he come.
Then Christ our Messiah shows up and Satan, by this time is so bent on killing him that he continues to plant thoughts in the religous leaders of his day to crucify him. The devil gotso bent on this that he could not see afar off that Christ would rise form the dead and that by his death at the cross it brought forgivenss to all that believe. Had the Devilknown the outcome of the cross via the resurrectionhe would not haveever encouraged the religous leaders tocrucify him.
Now the death occurs and Christ rises from the dead and takes the keys to heaven and hell away from the devil and the Spirits that were held in prison were set free for all that believed.
Today the Devil and devils are working very hard to take away the power of the cross by getting all to just focus on the death of christ, which is nothing more than a half-sham Gospel. It is in the resurrection where all life and Godliness is at. The death was needed first to cleanse the deck before life could be given and this is given in the resurrection of Christ
! cor.15 very clear on and about the resurrection that without is we would stillbe in our sins andthis world has adapted toa halfsham Gospel and are by not getting involved in the resurrection their consciences are never cleared from sin as he came to do
Hebrews 10:1For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Hebrews 10:2For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

See this Christ by one sacrifice puirged the whole world from sin from God the Father's sight once for all
Hebrews 10:10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Colossians 2:14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

over the years by nullifying the resurrection the power of the cross is taken away, and all one is left with is to act like an Old testament Jew trying to get their sins frogiven over and over which God was not pleased with and here we are today asking over and over agian for forgiveness never recievinig the forgiveness at the cross as final.
Yet a lot of times when one does finalize the cross as when and where they are forgiven, the deivil does his best to plant a thought of you are forgiven so just go and be malicious and do not care about your fellow neighbor, since you are forgiven and this what happened to the Corinthians, thus they took adavantage of this miraculous salvation, so Paul wrote them to straighten out this heresy and they understood and had a Godly sorrow over a worldly one
The truth includes the resurrection where one is born again
[h=3]Romans 6:4[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Yep King David was looking forward to the cross and knew it would come so he stated before hand
Psalm 100:4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

I'm just asking questions.
Same here. :) And the answer to mine will help to answer yours.

Maybe to get you started on the right foot: The Old Testament is seldom seen through the vernacular of the New Testament. There are several passages where God clearly dictated that he was not pleased with people's sacrifices; they were merely symbolic of repentance. What He wanted before and after Christ was for Man to repent. We needed Christ as sin progressed. Those who died before his death are not not saved. Christ simply came to make dead people alive with the Gospel, and to reveal how flawed adhering to the law was when people's hearts were not invested in the administrator of the law.

We're not suffering for sins we didn't commit. We all sin. It is the human condition. I no longer follow church tradition. Everybody has their own interpretation of the word of God, but I believe God reveals the truth to those who seek it. I've found it definitely helps to read an accurate translation. The proof you speak of is the whole creation, but atheists have not received faith to believe God is the creator.

1. God doesn't just allow evil. God created evil to humble us and make us look to him for salvation.
2. "Hell" is an Old English word translated from the Greek "hades," literally meaning "unseen," which refers to the "unseen" state of a dead soul, but the meaning of "hell" has been distorted by intentional mistranslation of "Gehenna" as "hell" in common bibles. Those who support the corrupt translations say Christ was speaking figuratively of "Gehenna" as a place where unbelievers are tortured in fire forever after they die. "Gehenna" is actually the ravine of Hinnom outside Jerusalem, used by the ancient Jews to sacrifice their children in fire to Moloch, an Ammonite god, and later used to burn the corpses of criminals condemned to death as it will be in the coming eon (Isaiah 66:23,24). Mistranslation of "Gehenna" as "hell" has propagated the myth of "hell fire." Failing to suppress scripture by killing people with fire, the church changed scripture to deceive people with fear of torture in fire forever, but even the corrupt translations of scripture used by the church say all are reconciled through Christ. So the question is, do you believe the church or the word of God? "through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens" (Colossians 1:20)
3. Believing the word of God is a matter of faith.
4. Evolution is simply the faith basis of atheism. It is not scientific fact. It is an unproven untestable hypothesis that has been taught as fact in public school for quite a while. I was taught to believe evolution, but then later I changed my mind because I learned more information from scientists who believe in creation. Evolution really doesn't make sense if you think about it. Evolution says everything came from nothing and developed from chaos into order without any intelligent source causing it to do so. There are mutations within kinds of creatures, but one kind does not become another kind. Evolutionists use intimidation to try to shame those who believe in creation, but it really just comes down to whether you believe God or atheists. Those who believe God are not anti-science. Science is simply the quest for knowledge of the material world. Spirit is the imperceptible power of life, action, and intelligence.
5. Faith is a gift from God that has nothing to do with anything you have done. Some have it, and some don't. I believe Christ that all will come to the Father through him, some by faith and some by sight when they are judged before the great white throne where it will be impossible to deny the truth.

Isaiah 45:7 clearly says God created evil.
Satan, Hebrew for "Adversary," also known as the Adversary, the dragon, the ancient serpent, and the Slanderer is head of the forces of evil. Demons are deceiving spirits of the terrestrial realm whose chief is Beelzeboul, or Beezeboul. Apollyon (Greek) and Abaddon (Hebrew) meaning "Destroyer" is the messenger of the abyss.
Here are a few verses relevant to the so called "fall of Satan" that is not in the scriptures.
Ezekiel refers to the king of Tyre not Satan (Ezekiel 28:15). The king of Tyre is a man, and Satan is not a man (Ezekiel 28:2,9).
Isaiah refers to the King of Babylon in the future day of Israel's restoration not Satan's fall in the past (Isaiah 14:3-20). Then Satan will have been cast out of heaven (Revelation 12:9). The King of Babylon is a man (Isaiah 14:16), and Satan is not a man.
"Lucifer" is used once in the King James Version as a mistranslation of the Hebrew for "howl" (Isaiah 14:12). The same exact Hebrew word is used in (Zechariah 11:2). Variations of the word are in (Isaiah 14:31; 13:6; 15:2,3; 16:7; 23:1,6,14; 52:5; 65:14).
Luke refers to Satan's action in response to the casting out of demons in Christ's name not the so called "fall of Satan" (Luke 10:18).
"From the beginning is the Adversary sinning." (1 John 3:8). "He was a man-killer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, for truth is not in him. Whenever he may be speaking a lie, he is speaking of his own, for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44).
God gives Satan power to try us (Job 1:6-12, 2:1-7), but Satan will eventually lose that power (1 Corinthians 15:24). Then all will be reconciled to God through Christ "that God may be all in all" (Colossians 1:20; 1 Corinthians 15:28).

[h=3]since when is God evil, this does not say god is evil and does not line up with scripture
God is the one that decides we are only the clay
2 Chronicles 36:12He did evil in the eyes of the Lord his God and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of the Lord.
Jeremiah 44:3because of the evil they have done. They aroused my anger by burning incense to and worshiping other gods that neither they nor you nor your ancestors ever knew.
2 Chronicles 36:12He did evil in the eyes of the Lord his God and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke the word of the Lord.

Judges 10:6[ Jephthah ] Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord. They served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, and the gods of Aram, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the Ammonites and the gods of the Philistines. And because the Israelites forsook the Lord and no longer served him,
So who does the evil not God?

Isaiah 45

[/h]New International Version (NIV)

45 “This is what the Lord says to his anointed,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of
to subdue nations before him
and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him
so that gates will not be shut:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]I will go before you
and will level the mountains
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For the sake of Jacob my servant,
of Israel my chosen,
I summon you by name
and bestow on you a title of honor,
though you do not acknowledge me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]I am the Lord, and there is no other;
apart from me there is no God.
I will strengthen you,
though you have not acknowledged me,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]so that from the rising of the sun
to the place of its setting
people may know there is none besides me.
I am the Lord, and there is no other.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the Lord, do all these things.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]“You heavens above, rain down my righteousness;
let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
let salvation spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
I, the Lord, have created it.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]“Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker,
those who are nothing but potsherds
among the potsherds on the ground.
Does the clay say to the potter,
‘What are you making?’
Does your work say,
‘The potter has no hands’?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Woe to the one who says to a father,
‘What have you begotten?’
or to a mother,
‘What have you brought to birth?’

[SUP]11 [/SUP]“This is what the Lord says—
the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker:
Concerning things to come,
do you question me about my children,
or give me orders about the work of my hands?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]It is I who made the earth
and created mankind on it.
My own hands stretched out the heavens;
I marshaled their starry hosts.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]I will raise up Cyrus[SUP][b][/SUP] in my righteousness:
I will make all his ways straight.
He will rebuild my city
and set my exiles free,
but not for a price or reward,
says the Lord Almighty.”

[SUP]14 [/SUP]This is what the Lord says:
“The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush,[SUP][c][/SUP]
and those tall Sabeans—
they will come over to you
and will be yours;
they will trudge behind you,
coming over to you in chains.
They will bow down before you
and plead with you, saying,
‘Surely God is with you, and there is no other;
there is no other god.’”

[SUP]15 [/SUP]Truly you are a God who has been hiding himself,
the God and Savior of Israel.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]All the makers of idols will be put to shame and disgraced;
they will go off into disgrace together.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]But Israel will be saved by the Lord
with an everlasting salvation;
you will never be put to shame or disgraced,
to ages everlasting.

[SUP]18 [/SUP]For this is what the Lord says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited—
he says:
“I am the Lord,
and there is no other.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]I have not spoken in secret,
from somewhere in a land of darkness;
I have not said to Jacob’s descendants,
‘Seek me in vain.’
I, the Lord, speak the truth;
I declare what is right.

[SUP]20 [/SUP]“Gather together and come;
assemble, you fugitives from the nations.
Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood,
who pray to gods that cannot save.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Declare what is to be, present it—
let them take counsel together.
Who foretold this long ago,
who declared it from the distant past?
Was it not I, the Lord?
And there is no God apart from me,
a righteous God and a Savior;
there is none but me.

[SUP]22 [/SUP]“Turn to me and be saved,
all you ends of the earth;
for I am God, and there is no other.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]By myself I have sworn,
my mouth has uttered in all integrity
a word that will not be revoked:
Before me every knee will bow;
by me every tongue will swear.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]They will say of me, ‘In the Lord alone
are deliverance and strength.’”
All who have raged against him
will come to him and be put to shame.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But all the descendants of Israel
will find deliverance in the Lord
and will make their boast in him.
Psalm 116:5
The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion.
Luke 4:43But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”
Luke 5:21The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Unbelievers stick to the Law of self rigtheousness and do not think they need God
Romans 1:25They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
Romans 2:4Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
