Oh yeah. This reminds me of something. Overkill but not Overkill. Not Nuclear Assault. The voice reminds me of something though.

So groovy dude. The guy reminds me of Ozzy a bit the voice. Does that make sense?

Don't get me started on Nuclear Assault...lol they certainly put the *ASS* in assault.lol Danny Liker tried to get a bunch of NA fans to basically jump me and a few of my buddies out by the OVERKILL tour bus because apparently at the time (which we didn't know) them & Overkill were not getting along during the tour, and of course us being their to see Overkill in all Overkill garb was apparently too much for Mr. Liker to deal with. Nothing ever came of it,no fisticuffs ensued & when they opened they played for 20 minutes & got booed off the stage cause they sounded so crappy. I remembered reading an interview with Blitz from Overkill in some metal mag not long after that where he talked about the falling out between the bands during that tour and how after the show we saw, they were only with them maybe a few more gigs & then off the tour. So...I have no real reason for sharing that story, other than when you mentioned N.A. it got me thinking about that show...which incidentally I still have pictures from. lol Good times...good times.

Gang Bang'n on thrash? lol. I don't know what made me choose those two bands. It was like that era of thrash I guess. The voice is the one I couldn't peg though. It sounds like somebody else's. Like another band I've heard.

I totally just found a special, limited edition copy of 4th Dimension by Armath Sargon for 7 bucks...yes, I ordered it.

On a side note, I thought of this while looking at the punkness infused in this thread, does anyone remember Hanover Saints, or Ever Man's Hero...those were some great bands.

Yep, i remember them. Didn't like them. haha. Wasn't Hanover that band that tried to do hair metal mixed with punk? At least image was, like a pre-A7X, but more punk than metal? Hmm.... And i think EMH was too pop for me, or at least the name was too cheesy, i don't know, been a long time.
Oh hey, i have Blood, Guts & Glory by HS... hmm...

Here is the thing about this Hanover Saints. My opinion from what I listened to on youtube. The first song I hit was "heaven and hell" and I thought it was alright. Then every other thing I hit was way off. Just pop like.

Every Man's Hero was like a hardcore punk type thing, though if I remember right they might have had some pop-punk styled guitar leads. I never saw a picture of HS, so I don't know about the hair metal thing, they always just sounded like Oi Punk to me.

It really just depends on your view point. My interpretation of punk and hardcore is not the same as a lot of people. Every faction has their theory as to why they are right. It's a religion in that it is a group of people adhering to certain rules and what they perceive as fact. I talked to a guy once who was into pop punk. His thoughts on it were that it was just fun. Lyrically it was more light hearted etc... I find different things in my style and another person in theirs. Defining punk is just like defining your personality. What you are really saying when you describe your punk style is, do you understand where I'm coming from. Possibly all music is this way?
