oh okay. :). Thought there was going to be discussion, I was ready to be all ears. since you are on the subject, I think commitments are conditional if the people aren't ready to honor that commitment, it's a leap of faith, a struggle to constantly suffer and forgive, I just think people give up to easy, and then again there are those who just want that commitment but when they get someone who actually commits, they do everything in their power to push them away, ...and then you get songs like these lol Jk

IF is ironic because you were referring back to the song?
Like having them actually do the work to make things work?

I suppose everything will always be based on your beliefs, IF you don't believe in it, or have no real values, then it doesn't matter, There is no point in committing at all, there is no hope for a relationship that has no solid foundation.
Foundation will always matter, values will always be important, commitment means a whole lot more than people realize. It's a more powerful word than we know, I believe that is why people are so destroyed by relationships because of the lack of foundation.

The struggle and forgiving, and giving out grace is also important too, these are based off of believing in the values learned,
The values held high and honored.
The bible has a lot of good values to follow in it, But it is meant for those who believe in it, I think one is required to forgive another seventy times seven, if they choose it as a source to follow
to love others is a commandment from God for his followers. The bible has a lot of solid foundation in it, that's what I like about it personally. :)

No no, I just meant it's ironic because of the context; talking about conditions and all. "Commitments are conditional IF etc."

Maybe I over thought it. I'm told I over think things... :confused:

Lol okay I see where you are getting at, just change IF to "when", I didn't mean for it to be ironic.
Thanks for pointing that out, I did not realize that.. :p

I kind of don't like talking about the idea of commitments...making me sad. :( Because it's a big deal to me...
It is a very frustrating subject for me right now. Sorry...I just can't.

lol...did you not see my two extra essays about relationships, values, and foundation...
that is what I call an over thought of an over thought, of a possible over share.

What is that like?
To hold someone's hands,
For the first time,
to look into their eyes,
to connect smiles gently, so softly.
touch, a burn, connect,
creating a a new sensual song.
With the sensational feeling,
and rhythm of life.

to walk on the grey roads,
dressed in skies tears.
To be able to see, feel, touch, taste, hear.

What is that like?
What is that it like to find long
lost love?
What is it like to know someone?

Never say what you don't mean,
don't make a promise that you can never keep.
don't cry, nor complain about a thing.
Never say sacrifice,
if you never intend to take a chance,
or pay the price.
When you are all talk, and no action.
Only merely wasting time.

What is that like?

To hold someone's hands,
I do not know..
Will I ever know?
If you can't be brave for loves sake,
them release me,
just let me go.

Set me free, asking these questions,

what is it like to hold hands?​
