What is more important...Freedom or God....

Saying this I mean should we restrict people freedoms in order to force society to live MORE Godly lives or should we do it the good old American way, which allows freedom of choice....

Well there's this. (some people may not like)

Rev.22:11 "He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still."

America might be the spiritual Bablyon. If it is, American Christians can't change it if it's God's will to be. It makes Christians more comfortable if society lives the way they do. (there would be alot more things to watch on TV.) Human laws inforcing the Law of God doesn't bring about more faith only God does. Besides if the Government was to enforce God's law, all men (including Christians) would be locked up in the big house. For there is no one good but one, and that's God brother. I no longer endorse the contempory way of living in America.

You could say God is testing our work by the fire of the world. I don't know if that even makes sense to me really. If we as Christians don't submit to the world and live the way they do, it testifies to the Glory of God. That being said, since being born again, I believe it will be very hard to vote for anybody the next time I'm called to do so.

I think restricting freedoms is the way to go. And I don't mean freedom of choice, but freedom to make bad choices.
America already does this already. Drug and alcohol laws. Restricting the freedom of people to choose bad things.
Another example is gun control. After a mass murderer killed 35 people in a rampage in 1996 in Australia, the government brought in anti-gun laws and basically destroyed most of the guns in Australia.
Other examples are the restrictions on what can be shown on TV and in the shops, such as X-rated material. Further examples are the restrictions on what food products can be bought, the restriction and laws on prohibited food additives etc. Taxation on cigarettes and alcohol, particularly when increased taxes were introduced on certain alcohol products to limit binge drinking amongst teenagers.
Forbidding gay marriage, restricts the freedoms of homosexuals to marry.

And i'm sure theres many other examples.

The anti-gun laws of Australia were brought in under a false-flag, a staged event executed by Mossad, an innocent man now rots in jail, but will not the Judge of all the earth do right? Yes He will, so all will be revealed, we do not get away with anything, justice will be done.

HAHAHA what???

Anyway, in response to the topic, forcing people to live more Godly lives won't make them Christians. You can take away their drugs and alcohol, stop them from killing eachother, stop homosexuals from marrying eachother, ban abortions, but this won't lead people to Christ. God's kingdom is expanded through preaching the message of Christ, not changing laws.

I agree

if anything, using too much restrictions will push people away from God. It's by faith you know...
(and even if it did help.. more laws just mean more poeple breaking the laws, especially if there are too many that control daily life. Laws should make everyone safe from the threat of others (i.e. gun control etc...) but they should never control the individual. I think it has been prooved many tims throughout history that forcing people to Gid doesn't help.

Laws are (or at least should be) to protect, not to control...

God wants everyone to make their own choice. To take away freedom to do so is going against that. So, I think that freedom is important.

God gave us freedom to choose Him or the world,He does not want people that have been forced to worship Him.As America has allowed more and more people of conflicting religions and ideals Christians have been forced to give up their right of expression. We can either join in and refuse God because times are rough or keep praising Him and pay the worldly consequences.

You make it sound like that God and freedom contradicts one another, serving God gives us freedom.

Joh 8:36If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
