I skipped lunch and whipped up some cocoa brownies instead.

...yes, those are different than just brownies.

They are absolutely "special", but I strongly suspect not in the way that you mean :p

Speaking of special brownies, though...

I worked at a hotel where the housekeepers frequently brought in "special" baked goods and offered them to unsuspecting people. One girl was highly allergic to pot. She was hospitalized.

People are so sick.

How are people highly allergic to pot? Is that like a neat way of saying they don't like how it feels? I'm not condoning pot use, just saying I've never heard of such a thing. I mean they may think they are allergic. Are you for real on this?

It's not that far-fetched. It's a plant, and some people have violent reactions to certain plants. If she was hospitalized I suspect that her allergic reaction wasn't just all in her head, so to speak.

I dunno, that's what she told us when she found out what was in the cookies, and then she proceeded to almost die...

I had a friend in high school that his mom would always send him with me and pay for my concert ticket... she was allergic to pot smoke, gave her dangerous hives, including in her lungs... found out the hard way when she was in high school.

Okay, I gotcha. I believe this is due to the pollen or smoke. Again, I do not condone the use. I just have a long history with it and I've never heard of it before.

Is it weird that I'm positive I've been near pot or at least the scent of it but I still have no idea what it smells like? My sense of smell is awful. The downfall to this is that I may accidentally walk around in an area that smells heavily of the stuff and not realize it, only to later walk away carrying the scent on my own clothing. -.-

because the car doors stayed closed and the windows up, even on a hot day?

{Glad that ain't me no more. It's been since 1996, and I'm not looking back. Oh, and never in my car. Ever.}

Seatbelt, it's been a bit for me as well. A much shorter bit of time but I'm done. I used to know Christians who thought it was okay and to each their own. I just know the confusion. Imagine trying to study the bible high. I just don't see how you could stay in tune with God.

Me and my husband lived with room mates for a few months, and those people...wow. High. All. The. Time.

One weekend, we were off visiting family, and the day we got back, we thought our pet hamster (never again, by the way...totally hated that hamster) was comatose. Looked dead-ish.

Nope, he was just high.

Have I mentioned lately how sick people are?

liked the original. had more of a film noir/e.e. cummings feel to it.
lol...never been thought of as E.E. Cummings-esque. Don't ever let arwen know you said anything about me & film noir in the same sentence. She might have to cut you. lol
