I used to have one called Gun Metal! I gave it to a friend, though, because I tried it and it just didn't look right on me. My favorite color to wear is a lilac color I have, looks good with my skintone and it helps that it's one of my favorite colors. :)
...
My favorite color for just about anything is purple, or variations there of.
I don't paint my nails. What is this, the 90's? Not any more.

I don't drive. I find it unnatural. lol I used to walk between 2 & 6 miles a day until I was in my mid-twenties. Then after I was a passenger in a car accident,it messed me up & I never got back up to speed with walking everywhere again. I know how to drive, but I get road rage & I have a bit of a leadfoot I think...I think I'm in a funny car dragster. lol I take cabs all the time now,'cause there's no bus or subways here where I live. I carpool to work. Judge me...lol I get teased a lot for not owning a car...but for me,it's one less bill & headache to deal with.

I have a friend who lives in Toronto Canada who doesn't own a car or even know how to drive. I drove up there to hang out and go to a couple of shows and I drove all over that city. Like most larger cities it is almost easier to take public transit. Or the TTC as they call it there.

I'm still kinda old school..I like having 2 bass drums, but yes if I used a 1 bass drum kit, then I'd need a lefty drum pedal
There's no lefty drum pedals lol. I have a double-pedal and the pedals are interchangeable (they disconnect from the long rod that connects them so you can switch them - only one pedal has two beaters, the other has only one).

Okay, makes sense. I have a dw 7000 but I never even messed with it to know if it is interchangeable or not.

On a nail-related note, my sister and I went to the Mall of America last weekend for our birthday. I got sucked into one of those kiosk/mini-stores they have in the middle of the walkway. He asked if I wanted a sample and I said yes, then he asked me about my nails, and then I got sucked into having an example done on one of them, and it made it SO SHINY, and so...I bought the stuff. My sister just had to roll her eyes at me, "Rachel...you just gotta say no to them."

I'm such an easy sell, sometimes. I dislike that about myself.
Hey! That happened to me, except in a lil' podunk mall in the Sacramento area! Except I didn't buy the stuff. They kept telling me how good this would be for my daughters, and it felt like I was getting a hand massage. I felt bad about not buying the stuff. She was exceptionally pretty, and I liked her Israeli accent.

Don't feel bad about buying the stuff. Pricey yes, but it seems good quality. And it's like you are under a spell with all the massage-y things they are doing to your hands.

I don't think it's odd to not own a car dude. It would be difficult in a rural area though. On the walking, I used to walk all over until I injured my knees a few times. It makes it much more difficult.

Catherder, they totally do that. I have a friend who works for LUSH. She does the hand massages all the time it's part of selling the products. I wouldn't feel guilty about it.

What about when you go one mall over and have a different Israeli girl do the other hand?

Oh shoot I'm wrong! :( I just looked at a pic of my pedal and its not interchangeable. Sorry. I thought it was because the pedals are detachable from the rod. I guess one does have to buy a lefty pedal. :/

I have Pearl exports from the early 90's when they still had deep shells and were 7-ply birch. Its a 7-piece with 8" through 14"(?) toms and a 22"(?) bass drum, plus various assorted cymbals lol. I tried to make my set look like Neil Peart's from the Counterparts tour. :)

Rachel- when I still lived in a place with a mall, those people got me all the stinkin' time..."Ooh, let me try this on your curly hair, this straightener is the best there is", "Hey, I see you need a touch up on your make-up, bring your face over here"...ugh. And then I bought the hair straightener and it sizzled my hair.

SeatBelt- I live in a town of approximately 60 people, no paved roads, no sidewalks, no nothing but sage brush, highway, cows, and old ranch folk. We have a gas station/general store...the owner sells gas for over $4 a gallon and marks up everything in her store at least a buck, if not a lot more. Right now she's selling these suckers that have a real scorpion in the middle for $3.00 each. She sells fun-size candy bars individually for a dollar each.

This...this is not civilized behavior.

Dying- my car is um...a car...LOL it's a Buick Regal, '92 I think? Not sure. It gets something like 30 miles to the gallon. Maybe. I dunno, I only drive it like, twice a month. It looks like some kind of stupid space car. Also, the hood is jacked cuz my hubby hit a deer and crunched it (the hood, not the deer- the deer went SPLAT all over the place....).

Sounds nice though. I have lived in large cities and small towns. I prefer to live in a small town near a large city. The store thing though, yeah, that is taking advantage of supply and demand. Being the only supplier in a small town, I see the temptation but $3 for a sucker? and over $4 for gas! I bet milk is over $5 a gallon to. lol.

I think a gallon of milk out here is around 4 bucks. In town, I get it for 3. Frozen pizza in town is like, 6 bucks- the same kind out here is 10.99. Bah.

Prices in Maine:
Milk $3.89 a half gallon
Bread $3.25 (sometimes 2 for $5)
Gas $3.59 - $3.65 per gallon
and one huge myth about Maine...Lobster & Scallops are more expensive here that anywhere else I've ever purchased them.
