I have asked you to leave me alone, not because you don't believe the same way I do, but your constant ~~and I mean CONSTANT need to critic everything I say even with the smallest of conversations.

So you don't like how I believe and find it appalling.....I DONT CARE!!!!

99% of the people in this place doesn't like what I believe yet they treat me with decency and kindness. ZONE doesn't believe anything I believe in yet she is nice to me.

I have asked you to leave me alone only to get responses such as the last one you gave me where you condemn me to hell. (way to witness BTW, you should be so proud)

you know, I have a lot of friends that don't believe the way I do, wiccans, atheist, and trinitarians, yet I don't spit in their face and call what they believe appalling to their face, because I want them to see Christ in me, I want them to see love and respect. I don't go around telling them they are going to hell, that would end our friendship and any chance I had of winning them over to GOD with LOVE. 1 cor. 13 says if I had all those things that seemed important but didn't have love, I was losing.

you might "say" you're doing this out of love but out of the heart the mouth speaks you have have not spoken love to me yet.

I'm gonna have to put you in iggy time out for a while, atleast until you forget I even exist for my own sake because I can't deal with your constant badgering of me. I know who my GOD is and HE is a merciful GOD full of love and grace, and I dont need negative people to bring me down.

you might find it funny, but I'm a soul.... a soul JESUS died for.

have fun in time out.

please forget I even existed.

good bye.
I did not say you were not saved.
Who's the one not being civil?
For the rest....whatever.

ewwe..... if they bring a snake in there I would leave...LOL

no we don't do the snake handling and poison drinking. some churches believe that they can just test GOD on this and not realize that it was for IF a snake was to bite on accident that the poison wouldn't hurt them. look at paul acts 28, he didn't go looking for it. But there are people like in the "potters house" that do the snake thingy...... wackos.

nope our services start with singing and praising (i'm a praise singer) and then we have offering, and bible reading (we stand for this) and then preaching on that word) after this we have altar call and pray for people. no snakes :)

BTW, I'm a girl :p

All these years, I thought Bugs Bunny was a boy. That really explains a lot considering he liked to put on lipstick and dress up as a woman. I'm always last one to find out anything.......... sheesh!!

I suspect you'll need to look long and hard to find one that does the snake thing. Most are into the less physically dangerous stuff which is a good thing.

ok...simple question here (or is it) what are the difference in beliefs or doctrines are there between a born again christian and a southern baptist.......was wondering because i will be in the process of starting a new relationship soon with a southern baptist ( i am the born again christian)... i know there's subtle differences but cant seem to figure it out. tried looking it up but its just confusing me.
You both could sit down with your bibles and see what the Christians did in the first century in order to become a disciple of Christ. This was before any denominations or born again movements. Southern Baptist came in about 1600 years later. Jesus told his apostles to go into all the world and preach the gospel, "he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved..." Mk. 16:15-16. Mtt. 28:19-20. Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit..." Look in Acts 2 and you see the beginning of the church which Christ promised. The rest of the New Testament tells us how to live and be united in Christ. (Eph. 4:4-6 gives you God's plan for unity). There were no denominations in the first century, they were just Christians. You both can unite on what the Bible teaches if you leave out all the things that man has added since that time.

When you say holiness standards, are you talking as compared to UPCI's?

well, our women don't cut our hair, we wear skirts, no make up yadda yadda and our men don't run around naked either.

but don't get me wrong, I had a problem with the holiness standards also until I spent some time in prayer and study.
No one tells me to do this and that, but I do these things with my own convictions.

now there are some UPCI's that take it to a whole new level by not even wearing a wedding ring, and always wearing long sleeve shirts, that is not my church.

I believe that you don't tell people what to wear or not to wear, that GOD will teach a person to be modest in HIS time and way. I have seen too many people being "skinned like a cat" over this issue and they completely walk away from GOD all because someone wants to play barbie with them. that isn't cool, no matter what denomination you're in.

I think being a southern baptist or any other denomination is not directly linked to being born again.
I can be any denomination or none at all, and be born again, or not.

You will know the person by how they feel towards and what they do towards other people, not based on what church building they were raised in or chose to affiliate with.

well, there's a Pakistani Muslim lady who serves quietly and regularly at a local charity.
is she born again?

did Jesus say anyone would enter the Kingdom without being born from above?

A stumbling block.

"When you do unto the least of these, you do unto me"
To give of yourself for the salvation of others is to follow, and to cry out for them to be helped is to cry out in the name of Jesus

It's unfortunate that she has a religion to distract her and hide His name.
